It is not as Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) had asserted, for I wove the garlands for the sacrificial animals of Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my own hands. Messenger of Allah ﷺ then garlanded them with his own hands, and then sent them with my father, and nothing was forbidden for Messenger of Allah ﷺ which had been made lawful for him by Allah until the animals were sacrificed. كَتَبَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ مَنْ أَهْدَى هَدْيًا حُرِّمَ عَلَيْهِ مَا يَحْرُمُ عَلَى الْحَاجِّ حَتَّى يَنْحَرَ الْهَدْيَ وَقَدْ بَعَثْتُ بِهَدْيِي فَاكْتُبِي إِلَيَّ بِأَمْرِكِ أَوْ مُرِي صَاحِبَ الْهَدْيِ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ ؓ لَيْسَ كَمَا قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَا فَتَلْتُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِي ثُمَّ قَلَّدَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ بَعَثَ بِهَا مَعَ أَبِي فَلَمْ يَحْرُمْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ شَيْءٌ أَحَلَّهُ اللهُ لَهُ حَتَّى نَحَرَ الْهَدْيَ
