[Machine] "Regarding the people, he explained to them the Sunnah (tradition) in that matter. Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, ﷺ , said: Al-Zuhri informed me that Urwa bin Al-Zubair and Amrah bint Abdur-Rahman bin Sa'd bin Zurarah informed me that Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, ﷺ , said: 'If I were to untie the charms of the sacrificial offering of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , he would send someone with his sacrificial offering to imitate it while he was residing in Madinah. Then, he would not avoid anything until his sacrifice was performed.' So when the people heard Aisha's statement, they held onto her words and left the fatwa (legal opinion) of Ibn Abbas. Masruq and Al-Aswad also narrated something similar from Aisha."

عَنِ النَّاسِ وَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ السُّنَّةَ فِي ذَلِكَ عَائِشَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ فَأَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ وَعَمْرَةَ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ إِنْ كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ الْهَدْيِ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَدْيِهِ مُقَلَّدًا وَهُوَ مُقِيمٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ ثُمَّ لَا يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا حَتَّى يَنْحَرَ هَدْيَهُ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ النَّاسَ قَوْلُ عَائِشَةَ هَذَا أَخَذُوا بِقَوْلِهَا وَتَرَكُوا فَتْوَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَرَوَى فِي هَذَا الْمَعْنَى مَسْرُوقٌ وَالْأَسْوَدُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
