malik:20-157 – Yaḥyá > Mālik > Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that the man who was in charge of the sacrificial animal of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Messenger of Allah, what should I do with a sacrificial animal that gets injured?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Slaughter any sacrificial animal that is injured. Then throw the garlands in its blood, and then give the people a free hand in eating it.  

مالك:٢٠-١٥٧ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ صَاحِبَ هَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْهَدْىِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ كُلُّ بَدَنَةٍ عَطِبَتْ مِنَ الْهَدْىِ فَانْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ أَلْقِ قِلاَدَتَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ يَأْكُلُونَهَا

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What should be done with the afflicted among the Hadi?' He said: 'Slaughter them, then dip their sandals in their blood, then leave them so that the people can eat them.'"

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ نَاجِيَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ قَالُوا فِي هَدْىِ التَّطَوُّعِ إِذَا عَطِبَ لاَ يَأْكُلُ هُوَ وَلاَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ رُفْقَتِهِ وَيُخَلَّى بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ يَأْكُلُونَهُ وَقَدْ أَجْزَأَ عَنْهُ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ وَأَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَقَالُوا إِنْ أَكَلَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا غَرِمَ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَكَلَ مِنْهُ وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ إِذَا أَكَلَ مِنْ هَدْىِ التَّطَوُّعِ شَيْئًا فَقَدْ ضَمِنَ الَّذِي أَكَلَ

أحمد:١٨٩٤٤ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ أَوِ الْبُدْنِ؟ قَالَ انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ أَلْقِ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ عَنْهَا وَعَنِ النَّاسِ فَلْيَأْكُلُوهَا

[Machine] From Najiyah al-Aslami, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "What should I do with the defective parts of the sacrificial animal?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every part that is defective should be slaughtered, then throw its sandals in its blood, and then distribute it between the people so that they may eat it."  

الدارمي:١٩٥٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ صَاحِبِ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «كُلُّ بَدَنَةٍ عَطِبَتْ فَانْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ أَلْقِ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَلْيَأْكُلُوهَا»

[Machine] Nasiyah Al-Khuzaiyyah, the companion of Budn, the messenger of Allah ﷺ, narrated to me that he asked the messenger of Allah ﷺ how he should deal with the parts of his body that are defective. The messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded him to slaughter every defective part, then throw its sandal into its blood, and then separate it from the people so they can eat it.  

الحاكم:١٦٤٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ أَنْبَأَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ أَنْبَأَ هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَطِيعِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

حَدَّثَنِي نَاصِيَةُ الْخُزَاعِيُّ صَاحِبُ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنْ بُدْنِي «فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَنْحَرَ كُلَّ بَدَنَةٍ عَطِبَتْ ثُمَّ يُلْقِي نَعْلُهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ يُخَلِّي بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَيَأْكُلُونَهَا»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ

ذِكْرُ الْأَمْرِ لِمَنْ سَاقَ الْبُدْنَ وَأَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَعْطَبَ أَنْ يَنْحَرَهَا، ثُمَّ يَجْعَلَهَا لِلْوَارِدِ وَالصَّادِرِ

ibnhibban:4023 – Abū Yaʿlá > Abū Khaythamah > Muḥammad b. Khāzim > Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father

ابن حبّان:٤٠٢٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَازِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْبُدْنِ قَالَ «انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ أَلْقِ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَلْيَأْكُلُوهَا»  

nasai-kubra:6605 – Hārūn b. Isḥāq > ʿAbdah > Hishām from his father > Nājiyah al-Khuzāʿī

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should I do with the meat of a sick animal?" He said, "Slaughter it, then dip its sandals in its blood, and then separate between the people and the meat so that they eat it."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٦٦٠٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ نَاجِيَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا عَطِبَ مِنَ الْبُدْنِ؟ قَالَ «انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ اغْمِسْ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ خَلِّ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَبَيْنَهَا يَأْكُلُونَهَا»
