ذِكْرُ الْعَلَامَةِ الَّتِي يَسْتَدِلُّ الْمَرْءُ بِهَا عَلَى إِحْسَانِهِ

[Machine] "A man said: O Messenger of Allah, when will I be considered righteous (good)? He (the Prophet) said: 'When your neighbors say that you are good, then you are good. And when they say that you are bad, then you are bad.'"  

ابن حبّان:٥٢٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قُدَيْدٍ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ

رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَتَى أَكُونُ مُحْسِنًا؟ قَالَ «إِذَا قَالَ جِيرَانُكَ أَنْتَ مُحْسِنٌ فَأَنْتَ مُحْسِنٌ وَإِذَا قَالُوا إِنَّكَ مُسِئٌ فَأَنْتَ مُسِئٌ»
