[Machine] We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Hawazin, and we were sitting and preparing to offer the afternoon prayer. Suddenly, a man on a red camel appeared and took away a camel belonging to one of our companions. He tied it to his own camel and then came and sat with us to eat. He looked at the faces of the people and noticed their softness, and most of them were on foot. When he looked at the faces of the people, he got up and walked away until he reached his camel. He sat on it and began to ride. He was at the forefront of the disbelievers. One of our companions who had embraced Islam followed him on a camel that belonged to him and was white. His name was Iyas, and he said, "I followed him." My father also followed him, and I unsheathed my sword and struck him on the head. Then I brought his camel and rode on it, taking his belongings. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ with the people approached and asked, "Who killed the man?" I said, "I did." He replied, "You have taken all his belongings."

We fought the Battle of Hawazin along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (One day) when we were having our breakfast with the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him), a man came riding a red camel. He made it kneel down, extracted a strip of leather from its girth and tethered the camel with it. Then he began to take food with the people and look (curiously around). We were in a poor condition as some of us were on foot (being without any riding animals). All of a sudden, he left us hurriedy, came to his camel, untethered it, made it kneel down, mounted it and urged the beast which ran off with him. A man on a brown rhe-camel chased him (taking him for a spy). Salama (the narrator) said: I followed on foot. I ran on until I was near the thigh of the she-camel. I advanced further until I was near the haunches of the camel. I advanced still further until I caught hold of the nosestring of the camel. I made it kneel down. As soon as it placed its knee on the ground, I drew my sword and struck at the head, of the rider who fell down. I brought the camel driving it along with the man's baggage and weapons. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came forward to meet me and the people were with him. He asked: Who has killed the man? The people said: Ibn Akwa'. He said: Everything of the man is for him (Ibn Akwa').

Salamh (bin Al Akwa’) said “I went on an expedition with the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ against Hawazin and while we were having a meal in the forenoon and most of our people were on foot and some of us were weak, a man came on a red Camel. He took out a rope from the lion of the Camel and tied his Camel with it and began to take meal with the people. When he saw the weak condition of their people and lack of mounts he went out in a hurry to his Camel, untied it made it kneel down and sat on it and went off galloping it. A man of the tribe of Aslam followed him on a brown she Camel which was best of those of the people. I hastened out and I found him while the head of the she Camel was near the paddock of the she Camel. I then went ahead till I reached near the paddock of the Camel. I unsheathed my sword and struck him on the head and then I took his camel and led it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ along with the people. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Who killed this man?" They said, "Ibn Al-Akwaa did." He said, "May all his belongings be yours." And the wording is according to the narration of Abu Al-Walid.

[Machine] We participated in a battle with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Hawazin. While we were sitting to eat our morning meal, a man came on a red camel and took a whip from the camel's saddle and tied his camel with it. Then, he came and sat with us to eat. He looked at the faces of the people and noticed that they had soft features and most of them were infantry. When he saw the people's faces, he got up and joined his camel again. He mounted it and became the vanguard for the disbelievers. One of our companions who had embraced Islam followed him on his own she-camel. I followed them both running until I reached them and held onto the reins of the camel. I unsheathed my sword and struck the man's head, then I brought his camel and led it while taking all its belongings. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me with the people and asked, "Who killed this man?" They said, "Ibn Al-Akwa' killed him." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "You can take everything that belongs to him." And the wording is according to the hadith of Abu Al-Walid.

[Machine] We participated in a battle with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Hawazin. While we were sitting and preparing to offer sacrifices, a man came riding on a red camel and took a she-camel by force from a group of camels. He tied it to his own camel and then came and sat with us to have a meal. He looked at the faces of the people and saw that they appeared soft and most of them were walking. When he looked at the faces of the people, he sneaked away until he reached his own camel, mounted it, and started leading the way for the disbelievers. One man from among us, who had embraced Islam, followed him on his own camel, a gray-colored one. I followed them, running on my feet until I reached the foot of the camel. Then I preceded and took hold of the camel's nose-strap, drew my sword and struck his head. Then I brought his camel and led it along with me as a booty. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me with the people and asked, "Who killed this man?" They replied, "Ibn Al-Akwa." The Prophet ﷺ said, "The booty belongs to you." And the wording of this narration is attributed to Abu Al-Walid.
