ذِكْرُ الِاسْتِحْبَابِ لِلْإِمَامِ، أَنْ يَسْتَشِيرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَيَسْتَثْبِتَ آرَاءَهُمْ، عِنْدَ مُلَاقَاةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ

ibnhibban:4721Abū Yaʿlá > ʿAbd al-Aʿlá b. Ḥammād > Muʿtamir b. Sulaymān > Ḥumayd > Anas

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went out one day towards Badr and started consulting the people. Abu Bakr then pointed at him with his hand, and the Prophet ﷺ consulted them. Umar also pointed at him with his hand, and the Prophet ﷺ consulted them. Then the Ansar said, "By Allah, he does not intend anyone other than us." A man from the Ansar said, "I think you are consulting and they are giving you advice, but we will not say as the Children of Israel said to Moses, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight!'" However, by the One who sent you with the truth, if you were to strike their livers until you reached the mountain passes, we would still be with you.  

ابن حبّان:٤٧٢١أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَ سَارَ إِلَى بَدْرٍ فَجَعَلَ يَسْتَشِيرُ النَّاسَ فَأَشَارَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَشَارَهُمْ فَأَشَارَ عَلَيْهِ عُمَرُ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ فَجَعَلَ يَسْتَشِيرُ ﷺ فَقَالَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَاللَّهِ مَا يُرِيدُ غَيْرَنَا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَرَاكَ تَسْتَشِيرُ فَيُشِيرُونَ عَلَيْكَ وَلَا نَقُولُ كَمَا قَالَ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ {اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا} وَلَكِنْ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَوْ ضَرَبْتَ أَكْبَادَهَا حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ بَرْكَ الْغِمَادِ كُنَّا مَعَكَ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sought consultation regarding his departure to Badr. Abu Bakr offered his advice and the Prophet ﷺ agreed. Then, Omar offered his advice and the Prophet ﷺ also agreed. Finally, the Prophet ﷺ sought the advice of others. Some of the Ansar said, "Beware! The Prophet of Allah ﷺ wants to consult us." A spokesperson for the Ansar said, "O Prophet of Allah, we do not say to you what the Children of Israel said to Moses, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight. We are here waiting.' But, by the One who sent you with the truth, even if you were to strike their livers, we would march with you to Barkil Ghimad." Ibn Abi Adi said, "To Barkil Ghimad means, 'We will follow you wherever you lead us.'"  

أحمد:١٢٩٥٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

اسْتَشَارَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَخْرَجَهُ إِلَى بَدْرٍ فَأَشَارَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَشَارَ عُمَرَ فَأَشَارَ عَلَيْهِ عُمَرُ ثُمَّ اسْتَشَارَهُمْ فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْأَنْصَارِ إِيَّاكُمْ يُرِيدُ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ قَائِلُ الْأَنْصَارِ تَسْتَشِيرُنَا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنَّا لَا نَقُولُ لَكَ كَمَا قَالَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ لِمُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ وَلَكِنْ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَوْ ضَرَبْتَ أَكْبَادَهَا إِلَى بَرْكٍ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ إِلَى بَرْكِ الْغِمَادِ لَاتَّبَعْنَاكَ

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out to Badr, he consulted the people. Abu Bakr indicated towards him, then they consulted him and Umar pointed towards him. He remained silent. A man from the Ansar said, "He only wants you." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, we will not be like the Children of Israel who said to Musa, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight. We are sitting here.' But, by Allah, if you were to strike their livers until you reach the depths of their hearts, we would still be with you."  

أحمد:١٢٠٢٢حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا سَارَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى بَدْرٍ خَرَجَ فَاسْتَشَارَ النَّاسَ فَأَشَارَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَشَارَهُمْ فَأَشَارَ عَلَيْهِ عُمَرُ فَسَكَتَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُكُمْ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَاللهِ لَا نَكُونُ كَمَا قَالَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ لِمُوسَى {اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ} وَلَكِنْ وَاللهِ لَوْ ضَرَبْتَ أَكْبَادَهَا حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ بَرْكَ الْغِمَادِ لَكُنَّا مَعَكَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ consulted the Muslims when he went to Badr. Abu Bakr pointed towards it first, then Umar pointed towards it. Then they consulted the Muslims and the Ansaar said, "O people of the Ansaar, beware! The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wants you." They said, "Then we will not say what the Children of Israel said to Musa, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight; we are sitting here.'" And by the one who sent you with the truth, if you were to strike their livers until they reached the other side of the valley, we would still follow you."  

البيهقي:٢٠٣٠٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ عُبْدُوسُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ
