ذِكْرُ إِخْفَاءِ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ آيَةَ الرَّجْمِ حِينَ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ مَا أَنْزَلَ

ibnhibban:4430 – Aḥmad b. al-Ḥārith b. Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Karīm Bimarw > al-Ḥusayn b. Saʿīd Ibn b. ʿAlī b. al-Ḥusayn b. Wāqid > Jaddī ʿAlī b. al-Ḥusayn b. Wāqid from my father > Yazīd al-Naḥwī > ʿIkrimah > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] He said, "Whoever disbelieves in stoning has disbelieved in the Most Merciful, and that is the statement of Allah, O People of the Scripture, there has come to you our Messenger revealing to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book."  

ابن حبّان:٤٤٣٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بِمَرْوَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ ابْنِ بِنْتِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ* قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ* حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ النَّحْوِيُّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَنْ كَفَرَ بِ الرَّجْمِ فَقَدْ كَفَرَ بِالرَّحْمَنِ وَذَلِكَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا كُنْتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَعْفُوا عَنْ كَثِيرٍ فَكَانَ مِمَّا أَخْفُوا الرَّجْمَ»

quran:5:15 –

O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.  

O People of the Scripture, Jews and Christians, now there has come to you Our Messenger, Muhammad (s), making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture, the Torah and the Gospel, such as the ‘stoning’ verse and the description ˹of the Prophet Muhammad (s)˺, and pardoning much, of it, which he does not reveal, since this would not be of any benefit, serving only to disgrace you. There has verily come to you from God a light, namely, the Prophet (s), and a Book, a Qur’ān, lucid, plain and manifest,
القرآن:٥:١٥ –

يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا كُنْتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَثِيرٍ ۚ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَابٌ مُبِينٌ  

{يا أهل الكتاب} اليهود والنصارى {قد جاءكم رسولنا} محمد {يبين لكم كثيرا مما كنتم تخفون} تكتمون {من الكتاب} التوراة والإنجيل كآية الرجم وصفته {ويعفو عن كثير} من ذلك فلا يبينه إذا لم يكن فيه مصلحة إلا افتضاحكم {قد جاءكم من الله نورٌ} هو النبي ﷺ {وكتابٌ} قرآن {مبين} بين ظاهر.

[Machine] Whoever denies stoning has, in fact, denied the Quran, as they do not consider the command of Allah exalted and majestic. O people of the Book, our messenger has come to you, explaining much of what you used to conceal from the Book, and stoning was one of the things you concealed.  

الحاكم:٨٠٦٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ السَّيَّارِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْبَاشَانِيُّ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ أَنْبَأَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ النَّحْوِيُّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

مَنْ كَفَرَ بِالرَّجْمِ فَقَدْ كَفَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ قَوْلِهِ ﷻ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا كُنْتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ فَكَانَ الرَّجْمُ مِمَّا أَخْفَوْا  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» صحيح

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ} [آل عمران: 64]

[Machine] Whoever disbelieves in stoning has disbelieved in the Quran from the perspective of not considering it, and this is the saying of Allah the Exalted: "O people of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much." [Al-Ma'idah 15] So, stoning was among what they used to conceal.  

الكبرى للنسائي:١١٠٧٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ أَبِي أَخْبَرَنَا عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُقَيْلٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ النَّحْوِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

[Machine] "Whoever denies stoning has indeed denied the Quran, where they do not expect it." The saying comes from the verse "O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture." [Al-Ma'idah 15] So stoning was one of the things they used to conceal.
