I was with Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night. and I brought him water and what he required. He said to me: "Ask ˹for anything you like˺" . I said: "I ask ˹to be in˺ your company in Paradise." He asked: "Is there anything else ˹you want˺?" I said: "That is all." He said: "Then help me for your sake ˹to achieve this˺ by performing a lot of prostrations."*

كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِوَضُوئِهِ وَحَاجَتِهِ فَقَالَ لِي: «سَلْ»، فَقُلْتُ: أَسْأَلُكَ مُرَافَقَتَكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ۔ قَالَ: «أَوَغَيْرَ ذَلِكَ؟» قُلْتُ: هُوَ ذَاكَ۔ قَالَ: «فَأَعِنِّي عَلَى نَفْسِكَ بِكَثْرَةِ السُّجُودِ».

I used to live with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at night. I would bring water for his ablution and his need. He asked: Ask me. I said: Your company in Paradise. He said: Is there anything other than that ? I said: It is only that. He said: Help me for yourself by making prostrations abundantly.

سَمِعْتُ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ كَعْبٍ الأَسْلَمِيَّ يَقُولُ كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ آتِيهِ بِوَضُوئِهِ وَبِحَاجَتِهِ فَقَالَ سَلْنِي فَقُلْتُ مُرَافَقَتَكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ أَوَغَيْرَ ذَلِكَ قُلْتُ هُوَ ذَاكَ قَالَ فَأَعِنِّي عَلَى نَفْسِكَ بِكَثْرَةِ السُّجُودِ

"I used to bring to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ water for wudu and serve him. He said: 'Ask of me.' I said: 'I want to be with you in Paradise.' He said: 'Is there anything else?' I said: 'That is all.' He said: 'Help me to fulfill your wish by prostrating a great deal.'"

كُنْتُ آتِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِوَضُوئِهِ وَبِحَاجَتِهِ فَقَالَ سَلْنِي قُلْتُ مُرَافَقَتَكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ أَوَغَيْرَ ذَلِكَ قُلْتُ هُوَ ذَاكَ قَالَ فَأَعِنِّي عَلَى نَفْسِكَ بِكَثْرَةِ السُّجُودِ

"I used to stay overnight at the Prophet's ﷺ apartment and I used to hear him when he prayed Qiyam at night saying: 'Subhan Allahi Rabil-Alamin (Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds)' for a long time, then he said: 'Subhan Allah wa bi hamdih (Glory and praise be to Allah) for a long time."

كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ عِنْدَ حُجْرَةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَكُنْتُ أَسْمَعُهُ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يَقُولُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ الْهَوِيَّ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ الْهَوِيَّ

“Subhan Allahi Rabbil-‘alamin (Glory is to Allah, the Lord of the worlds),” repeating that for a while, then he said: Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi (Glory and praise is to Allah).”

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَبِيتُ عِنْدَ بَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَكَانَ يَسْمَعُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ الْهَوِيَّ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

[AI] I used to sleep in the Prophet's room ﷺ and I would hear him when he would wake up at night to pray, saying: "Alhamdulillah Rabbil 'Alameen" quietly, then he would say: "Subhanallah Rabbi al-'Azeem wa bihamdih" quietly. I asked, "What is quietly?" He said, "He makes supplication for a period of time."

كُنْتُ أَنَامُ فِي حُجْرَةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَكُنْتُ أَسْمَعْهُ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يُصَلِّي يَقُولُ «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ» الْهَوِيَّ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي الْعَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ» الْهَوِيَ قُلْتُ مَا الْهَوِيُّ فَقَالَ «يَدْعُو سَاعَةً»

[AI] I used to spend the night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I would bring him water for ablution and fulfill his needs. He would stand during the night and say, "Glory be to my Lord and His praise, glory be to my Lord and His praise," repeatedly. Then he would say, "Glory be to the Lord of all worlds, glory be to the Lord of all worlds," repeatedly. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Do you have any need?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I want to be your companion in Paradise." He said, "Then help me by prostrating frequently."

كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فأَتِيهِ بِوَضُوئِهِ وَحَاجَتِهِ فَكَانَ يَقُومُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَيَقُولُ «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ» الْهَوِيَّ «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ» الْهَوِيَّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «هَلْ لَكَ حَاجَةٌ؟» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مُرَافَقَتُكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ «فَأَعِنِّي عَلَى نَفْسِكَ بِكَثْرَةِ السُّجُودِ»

[AI] I stayed at the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I used to hear him recite "Al-hamdu lillahi Rabbil 'aalameen" (All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds) during the night. And I used to hear him recite "Subhan Rabbi wa bihamdihi" (Glory be to my Lord and praise to Him) during the night.

كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ عِنْدَ بَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَكُنْتُ أَسْمَعُهُ الْهَوِيَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلَ يَقُولُ «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ» وَكُنْتُ أَسْمَعُهُ الْهَوِيَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يَقُولُ «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ»

[AI] I used to stay at the house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I would hear him saying the following during the night: "Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds." Then he would say, "Glory be to my Lord and praise Him."

كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَكُنْتُ أَسْمَعُهُ الْهَوِيَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يَقُولُ «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ» ثُمَّ يَقُولُ «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ» الْهَوِي

[AI] He informed him that he heard Rabia Bin Ka'b saying, "I used to sit by the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I heard him say when he got up at night, 'Glory be to the Lord of the worlds'. Then he said, 'Glory be to my Lord and praise be to Him'."

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ كَعْبٍ يَقُولُ بِتُّ عِنْدَ بَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ» الْهَوِيَّ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ» الْهَوِيَّ

كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ آتِيهِ بِوَضُوئِهِ وَبِحَاجَتِهِ فَكَانَ يَقُومُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَيَقُولُ «سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ» ثُمَّ يَقُولُ «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ»

كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَآتِيهِ بِوَضُوئِهِ وَحَاجَتِهِ فَكَانَ يَقُومُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَيَقُولُ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ الْهَوَى سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ الْهَوَى قَالَ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَلْ لَكَ حَاجَةٌ؟ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مُرَافَقَتُكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ أَوَغَيْرُ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مُرَافَقَتُكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ فَأَعِنِّي عَلَى نَفْسِكَ بِكَثْرَةِ السُّجُودِ

" عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الأَسْلَمِيِّ قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ عِنْدَ بَابِ حُجْرَةِ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ ، فَكُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ رسُولَ الله ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يُصَلِّى يَقُولُ: سُبْحَانَ الله العَظِيمِ الْهَوىَّ (* *)، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: سُبحَانَ الله العَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ الْهَوِىَّ".

"كُنْتُ أَبيتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ () بِوَضُوئِهِ وَبِحَاجَتِهِ، فَكَانَ

يَقُومُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَيَقُولُ: سُبْحَانَ رَبِّى وَبِحَمْدِهِ الْهَوِىَّ، ( *) سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، سُبْحَانَ

رَبِّ الْعَالَمينَ الْهَوِىِّ، فَقَال: رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : "هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ حَاجَةٍ؟ " فَقُلْتُ: يَا

رَسُولَ الله! مُرَافَقَتُكَ في الْجَنَّةِ، قَالَ: "أَوَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ؟ "، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ الله! هِىَ حَاجَتِى،

قَالَ: "فَأَعِنِّى عَلَى نَفْسِكَ بِكَثْرَةِ السُّجُودِ".
