[Machine] "I ate garlic, then I went to the Prophet's mosque and found that he had preceded me by one unit of prayer. When I stood to complete my prayer, he noticed the smell of garlic and said, 'Whoever has eaten from this bulb should not come near our mosque until the smell goes away.' Al-Mughirah said, 'After I finished my prayer, I went to him and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I have an excuse. Allow me to hold your hand.' He allowed me, and I found it to be easy. I put it in my sleeve close to my chest and found it tied. He said, 'You have an excuse.'"

I ate garlic and came to the place where the Prophet ﷺ was praying; one rak'ah of prayer had been performed when I joined. When I entered the mosque, the Prophet ﷺ noticed the odour of garlic. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer, he said: He who eats from this plant should not come near us until its odour has gone away. When I finished the prayer, I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah, do give me your hand. Then I put his hand in the sleeve of my shirt, carrying it to my chest to show that my chest was fastened with a belt. He said: You have a (valid) excuse.

[Machine] I ate garlic, then I went to the Prophet's mosque and found that he had already preceded me by one unit of prayer. When he finished praying, I stood up to complete my prayer and noticed the smell of garlic. He said, "Whoever has eaten this vegetable should not approach our mosque until the smell goes away." When I finished my prayer, I approached him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have an excuse, please extend your hand to me." He extended his hand to me and I found it to be soft, so I placed my hand in his sleeve up to my chest. He found it wrapped up and said, "You have an excuse."

[Machine] I ate garlic in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , then I came to the mosque having already performed a voluntary prayer, so I joined them in the prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smelled the scent of garlic and said, "Whoever has eaten from this offensive tree, should not approach our mosque until its odor goes away." I completed my prayer, and when I finished, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I took an oath upon you when you gave me your hand, and you allowed me to hold it, so I put it in my sleeve until it reached my chest. I found it tied up." He said, "You have an excuse or I see an excuse for you."
