[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When a servant falls ill, Allah inspires His angels, saying: 'O My angels, I have afflicted My servant with an illness, so confine him in the restraints of My mercy. If I take his soul, forgive him, and if I grant him life, then in that case, he shall sit down, and he shall have no sin.'"

الحاكم:٧٨٧١ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَافِظُ بِهَمْدَانَ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ثَنَا عُفَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا مَرِضَ أَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَى مَلَائِكَتِهِ يَا مَلَائِكَتِي أَنَا قَيَّدْتُ عَبْدِي بِقَيْدٍ مِنْ قُيُودِي فَإِنْ أَقْبِضْهُ أَغْفِرْ لَهُ وَإِنْ أُعَافِهِ فَحِينَئِذٍ يَقْعُدُ وَلَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» عفير بن معدان واه

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, when the Muslim falls ill, Allah Almighty inspires the angels, saying: O angels, I have detained My servant with My confinement. If I take his soul, he will be forgiven. If I heal his body, he will be forgiven as if he had no sins."

الطبراني:٧٧٠١ – وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ إِذَا مَرِضَ أَوْحَى الله ﷻ إِلَى مَلَائِكَتَهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا مَلَائِكَتِي أَنَا قَيَّدْتُ عَبْدِي بِقَيْدٍ مِنْ قُيُودِي فَإِنْ قَبَضْتُهُ أَغْفِرُ لَهُ وَإِنْ عَافَيْتُهُ فَجَسَدٌ مَغْفُورٌ لَهُ لَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ

"إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إذَا مَرِضَ أوْحَى اللهُ إِلى مَلائكتِهِ: أنَا قَيّدْتُ عبدِى بِقَيد مِن قُيودى فَإِن أَقْبِضْهُ أغْفِرْ لَهُ، وَإنْ أُعَافِهِ فحينئذ يَقْعُدْ لا ذَنْبَ لَهُ".
