[Machine] Fatimah bint Qais came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I am experiencing istihadah (non-menstrual bleeding)." He said, "That is not menstruation, rather it is a vein. So when the days of your regular menstruation come, then refrain from prayers. Afterward, bathe yourself and seek purification with a cloth and then perform prayers."

الحاكم:٦٨٨٤ – فَحَدَّثْنَاهُ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ

جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ قَيْسٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي أُسْتَحَاضُ قَالَ «لَيْسَ ذَاكَ بِالْحَيْضِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ عِرْقٌ لِتَقْعُدْ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِلْ ثُمَّ تَسْتَثْفِرْ بِثَوْبٍ وَتُصَلِّي»

[Machine] Fatima, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, came and said, "I am experiencing postnatal bleeding." He said, "That is not menstruation; rather, it is a bleeding for which you should rest for the duration of your regular menstrual cycle, then perform the ritual bath, and seek forgiveness with a piece of cloth, and offer prayers."

أحمد:٢٦٥٩٣ – حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ

جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي أُسْتَحَاضُ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِالْحَيْضِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ عِرْقٌ لِتَقْعُدْ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا ثُمَّ لِتَغْتَسِلْ ثُمَّ لِتَسْتَثْفِرْ بِثَوْبٍ وَلْتُصَلِّ

[Machine] A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I am experiencing Istihadah (continuous bleeding outside the menstrual period)." He said, "That is not menstruation, rather it is a vein that a woman experiences for the length of time her normal menses would last, then she should perform ablution, wear a sanitary pad, and pray."

الطبراني:١٩٩٥٦ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي أُسْتَحَاضُ قَالَ «لَيْسَ ذَاكَ بِالْحَيْضِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ عِرْقٌ لِتَقْعُدِ الْمَرْأَةُ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا ثُمَّ لِتَغْتَسِلْ ثُمَّ لِتَسْتَثْفِرْ بِثَوْبٍ وَتُصَلِّي»
