The Prophet ﷺ took Hussain and kissed him. Then, he approached them (the people) and said, 'Verily, this child is a source of stinginess, cowardice, ignorance, and sadness.'  

الحاكم:٥٢٨٤أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ خَلَفٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَخَذَ حُسَيْنًا فَقَبَّلَهُ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الْوَلَدَ مَبْخَلَةٌ مَجْبَنَةٌ مَجْهَلَةٌ مَحْزَنَةٌ»

"عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الأسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ أخَذَ حُسَيْنًا فَقَبَّلَهُ ثُمَّ أقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ الوَلَدَ مَبْخَلَةٌ مَجْبَنَةٌ".  

البغوى، وابن السكن، [قط] الدارقطنى في السنن في الأفراد، [ك] الحاكم في المستدرك [كر] ابن عساكر في تاريخه قال البغوى وابن السكن: ليس للأسود غير هذين الحديثين، قال في الإصابة: وجدت له ثالثا ورابعا
