[Machine] One of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had several doors in the mosque. So one day, he said, "Close all these doors except for Ali's door." Some people spoke about this, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and praised and glorified Allah. Then he said, "After that, I have been commanded to close these doors except for Ali's door." He (the companion) said, "By Allah, I did not close or open anything, but I followed what I was commanded to do."  

الحاكم:٤٦٣١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْبَزَّازُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا عَوْفٌ عَنْ مَيْمُونٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ

كَانَتْ لِنَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَبْوَابٌ شَارِعَةٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ يَوْمًا «سُدُّوا هَذِهِ الْأَبْوَابَ إِلَّا بَابَ عَلِيٍّ» قَالَ فَتَكَلَّمَ فِي ذَلِكَ نَاسٌ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنِّي أُمِرْتُ بِسَدِّ هَذِهِ الْأَبْوَابِ غَيْرَ بَابِ عَلِيٍّ فَقَالَ فِيهِ قَائِلُكُمْ وَاللَّهِ مَا سَدَدْتُ شَيْئًا وَلَا فَتَحْتُهُ وَلَكِنْ أُمِرْتُ بِشَيْءٍ فَاتَّبَعْتُهُ  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» صحيح

[Machine] A group of companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had doors in the mosque. He said, "One day, close all these doors except Ali's door." He said, and spoke about these people. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and praised Allah Almighty and glorified Him. Then he said, "I have ordered the closure of these doors except Ali's door." He said about it, one of you said, "I swear by Allah, I did not close anything or open it, but I was ordered to do so and I followed it."  

أحمد:١٩٢٨٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنْ مَيْمُونٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ

" أمَّا بَعْدُ فإِنِّي أمَرْتُ بِسَدِّ هذه الأبْوَابِ غيرَ بابِ عَلِيٍّ، فقال فيه قائِلكم : (وإنِّي) واللهِ ما سَدَدْتُ شيئًا؛ وَلَا فَتَحْتهُ، ولَكِنى أمِرْتُ بِشَيءٍ فاتبعْتُه".
