Have the Taqwa of Allah as His due, and do not die except as Muslims. And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If only a drop of Az-Zaqqum were to drip into the abode of the world, it would spoil the peoples' livelihood, so how about the person for whom it is his food?"  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ (اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلاَ تَمُوتُنَّ إِلاَّ وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ ) قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَوْ أَنَّ قَطْرَةً مِنَ الزَّقُّومِ قُطِرَتْ فِي دَارِ الدُّنْيَا لأَفْسَدَتْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا مَعَايِشَهُمْ فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ يَكُونُ طَعَامَهُ  

“O you who believe! Have fear of Allah as is His due, and die not except as Muslims. [3:102] (Then he said): ‘If a drop of Zaqqum were to be dropped on the earth, it would ruin the livelihood of the people of this world, so how about those who have no food other than it (i.e. Zaqqum)?’”  

قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلاَ تَمُوتُنَّ إِلاَّ وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ } وَلَوْ أَنَّ قَطْرَةً مِنَ الزَّقُّومِ قُطِرَتْ فِي الأَرْضِ لأَفْسَدَتْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا مَعِيشَتَهُمْ فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ غَيْرُهُ  

[Machine] "People used to perform the tawaf around the house, and Ibn Abbas was sitting with them, holding a container. He said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him]." (Quran 3:102) If only a drop of Zaqqum (a tree of Hell) was to fall on the inhabitants of the earth, it would ruin their livelihood. So, how will it be for those who have nothing to eat except Zaqqum?'"  

أَنَّ النَّاسَ كَانُوا يَطُوفُونَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ جَالِسٌ مَعَهُ مِحْجَنٌ فَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ} [آل عمران 102] وَلَوْ أَنَّ قَطْرَةً مِنَ الزَّقُّومِ قُطِرَتْ لَأَمَرَّتْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ عَيْشَهُمْ فَكَيْفَ مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا الزَّقُّومُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «{يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ} فَلَوْ أَنَّ قَطْرَةً مِنَ الزَّقُّومِ قَطَرَتْ فِي الْأَرْضِ لَأَفْسَدَتْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ مَعِيشَتَهُمْ فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ غَيْرُهُ؟ »  

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited this verse, "Fear Allah as He should be feared." Then he said, "If a drop of the Zaqoom plant were to drop into the oceans of the world, it would spoil their sustenance. So, how would it be for the one who consumes it?"  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {اتَّقُوا اللهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ} الْآيَةَ فَقَالَ «لَوْ أَنَّ قَطْرَةً مِنَ الزَّقُّومِ قُطِرَتْ فِي بحارِ الدُّنْيَا لَأَفْسَدَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ مَعَايِشَهُمْ كَيْفَ بِمَنْ يَكُونُ طَعَامَهُ؟»
