The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded to kill him: he was a spy of AbuSufyan and an ally of a man of the Ansar. He passed a circle of the Ansar and said: I am a Muslim. A man from the Ansar said, Messenger of Allah, he is saying that he is a Muslim. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There are people among you in whose faith we trust. Furat ibn Hayyan is one of them.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِ وَكَانَ عَيْنًا لأَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَكَانَ حَلِيفًا لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَمَرَّ بِحَلْقَةٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ رِجَالاً نَكِلُهُمْ إِلَى إِيمَانِهِمْ مِنْهُمْ فُرَاتُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِ وَكَانَ عَيْنًا لِأَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَحَلِيفًا فَمَرَّ بِحَلْقَةِ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُ يَزْعُمُ أَنَّهُ مُسْلِمٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ رِجَالًانَكِلُهُمْ إِلَى إِيمَانِهِمْ مِنْهُمْ فُرَاتُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ  

[Machine] About Furat ibn Hayyan, he was a confidant of Abu Sufyan and an ally. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered his killing, so he passed by a group of Ansar (Helpers) and said: "I am a Muslim." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Certainly, among you are men whose faithfulness is stronger than their own selves. Among them is Furat ibn Hayyan."  

عَنِ الْفُرَاتِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ وَكَانَ عَيْنًا لِأَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَحَلِيفًا وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَدْ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِ فَمَرَّ عَلَى حَلْقَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ رِجَالًا نَكِلُهُمْ إِلَى إِيمَانِهِمْ مِنْهُمُ الْفُرَاتُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ»  

[Machine] Furat bin Hayyan was a companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . The Prophet had ordered for his execution. Furat was a close associate of Abu Sufyan and an ally to him. He passed by a group of the Ansar (Muslims from Medina) and said, "I am a Muslim." One of them replied, "O Messenger of Allah, he claims to be a Muslim." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Amongst you, there are some individuals who openly show their faith to me, and Furat bin Hayyan is one of them."  

عَنْ فُرَاتِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِ وَكَانَ عَيْنًا لِأَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَحَلِيفًا فَمَرَّ عَلَى حَلْقَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُم يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ يَقُولُ إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ رِجَالًا يُظْهِرُ إِلَيَّ إِيمَانَهُمْ مِنْهُمُ الْفُرَاتُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ»

عَنِ الْفُرَاتِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِ وَكَانَ عَيْنًا لِأَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَحَلِيفًا أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَمَرَّ عَلَى حَلْقَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ يَقُولُ إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ مِنْهُمْ رِجَالًا نَكِلُهُمْ إِلَى إِيمَانِهِمْ مِنْهُمُ الْفُرَاتُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered his killing, and he was an ally of Abu Sufyan. He passed by a gathering of the Ansar (helpers) and said, "I am a Muslim." This news reached the Prophet ﷺ who said, "We have entrusted certain people with their faith, and Furat bin Hayyan is one of them." He then allotted him a piece of land in Bahrain. This narration is from the words of Abu Muhammad, and in the narration of Abu Abdullah, he was an ally of a man from the Ansar who said, "I am a Muslim." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among you there are men whom we entrust with their faith, and Furat bin Hayyan is one of them."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِ وَكَانَ عَيْنًا لِأَبِي سُفْيَانَ فَمَرَّ بِمَجْلِسٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّا نَكِلُ نَاسًا إِلَى إِيمَانِهِمْ مِنْهُمْ فُرَاتُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ قَالَ فَأَقْطَعَ لَهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَرْضًا بِالْبَحْرَيْنِ هَذَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ وَكَانَ عَيْنًا لِأَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَحَلِيفًا لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ رِجَالًا نَكِلُهُمْ إِلَى إِيمَانِهِمْ مِنْهُمْ فُرَاتُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ  

"إِنَّا نَكِلُ أُناسًا إِلى أيمانهم منهم فراتُ بنُ حَيَّانَ".

وذلك أَن رسولَ اللَّه ﷺ أمر بقتله وكان عينًا لأبى سفيان وحليفًا لرجل من الأنصارِ فمر بهم فقال: إنى مسلمٌ، قال الأنصارى: يا رسولَ اللَّه يقول: إِنى مسلمٌ".  

"عَن حَارِثَة بن مضْرَب، عَنِ الْفرات بن حَيَّان، وَكَانْ رَسُول الله ﷺ

قَد أَمَر بِقَتْلِه، وَكَان عَيْنًا لأَبِى سُفْيَان وَحليفَا، فَمرَّ عَلَى حَلقَةِ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ: إِنِّى مُسْلِمٌ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُم يَا رَسُول الله: يَقُول: إِنِّى مُسْلِمٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ إِنَّ مِنكُم رِجَالًا نكِلهُم إِلى إيمَانِهِم مِنْهُم الفُرْات بن حَيَّان".
