that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Fasting and the Quran will intercede for the servant on the Day of Resurrection: Fasting will say, 'O Lord, I prevented him from food and desires during the day, so let me intercede for him.' The Quran will say. 'O Lord, I prevented him from sleeping during the night, so let me intercede for him.'" He said, "˹Thus˺ they will both intercede for him.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «الصِّيَامُ وَالْقُرْآنُ يَشْفَعَانِ لِلْعَبْدِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ: يَقُولُ الصِّيَامُ: أَيْ رَبِّ مَنَعْتُهُ الطَّعَامَ وَالشَّهَوَاتِ بِالنَّهَارِ فَشَفِّعْنِي فِيهِ، وَيَقُولُ الْقُرْآنُ: مَنَعْتُهُ النَّوْمَ بِاللَّيْلِ فَشَفِّعْنِي فِيهِ۔» قَالَ: «فَيُشَفَّعَانِ۔»

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Fasting and the Qur'an will intercede for the servant on the Day of Judgement. Fasting will say: 'O Lord, I prevented him from food and drink during the day, so allow me to intercede for him.' And the Qur'an will say: 'O Lord, I prevented him from sleep at night, so allow me to intercede for him.' So they will both be granted the permission to intercede."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الصِّيَامُ وَالْقُرْآنُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَشْفَعَانِ لِلْعَبْدِ يَقُولُ الصِّيَامُ رَبِّ مَنَعْتُهُ الطَّعَامَ وَالشَّرَابَ بِالنَّهَارِ فَشَفِّعْنِي فِيهِ وَيَقُولُ الْقُرْآنُ رَبِّ مَنَعْتُهُ النَّوْمَ بِاللَّيْلِ فَشَفِّعْنِي فِيهِ فَيُشَفَّعَانِ

"الصِّيَامُ والْقُرْآنُ يَشْفَعَانِ لِلْعَبْد يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ، يَقُولَ الصِّيَامُ: أَيْ رَبِّ

مَنَعْتُهُ الطَّعَامَ والشَّهَواتِ بالنَّهَارِ فَشَفِّعْنى فِيهِ، وَيقُولُ الْقُرْآنُ: رَبِّ مَنَعْتُهُ الْنَّوْمَ بِالَّلْيل فَشَفِّعْنى فِيهِ فَيَشْفَعَانِ ".
