[Machine] About the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a hadith except that he said, "I was with the Prophet ﷺ , and a branch was brought to him and he said, 'From among the trees, there is a tree similar to a Muslim man.' I intended to say, 'It is the date-palm tree,' but then I looked and saw that I was the shortest among the people, so I remained silent." Umar said, "I wish you had said it, and upon me is this."  

الدارمي:٢٩٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ صَحِبْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ يُحَدِّثُ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِحَدِيثٍ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأُتِيَ بِجُمَّارٍ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ مِنَ الشَّجَرِ شَجَرًا مِثْلَ الرَّجُلِ الْمُسْلِمِ» فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَقُولَ هِيَ النَّخْلَةُ فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا أَنَا أَصْغَرُ الْقَوْمِ فَسَكَتُّ قَالَ عُمَرُ وَدِدْتُ أَنَّكَ قُلْتَ وَعَلَيَّ كَذَا

We were with the Prophet ﷺ and fresh dates of a palm tree were brought to him. On that he said, "Amongst the trees, there is a tree which resembles a Muslim." I wanted to say that it was the datepalm tree but as I was the youngest of all (of them) I kept quiet. And then the Prophet ﷺ said, "It is the date-palm tree."

الطبراني:١٣٥١٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

"كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِىِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَأكُلُ جُمَّارًا، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ مِنَ الشَّجَرِ كَالرَّجُلِ الْمُؤْمِنِ، فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَقُولَ: هِىَ النَّخْلَةُ، فَنَظَرْتُ فِى وجُوهِ القَوْمِ فَإِذَا أَنَا أَحْدَثُهُمْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ هِىَ النَّخْلَةُ".
