Hastening to perform good deeds to gain reward
I prayed Asr behind the Prophet ﷺ in Madinah. He offered taslim (i.e. finished his prayer), then stood up quickly and stepped over the people's necks to one of his wives' rooms. The people were alarmed by his haste. Then he came out to them and saw that they were surprised by his speed, so he said: "I remembered that we had some gold with us, and I disliked that it should keep me back, so I ordered that it be distributed."
