that his aunt, Um Hufaid bint Al-Harith bin Hazn, presented to the Prophet ﷺ butter, dried yoghurt and mastigures. The Prophet ﷺ invited the people to those mastigures and they were eaten on his dining sheet, but the Prophet ﷺ did not eat of it, as if he disliked it. Nevertheless. if it was unlawful to eat that, the people would not have eaten it on the dining sheet of the Prophet ﷺ nor would he have ordered that they be eaten.

Ibn ʿAbbas said: Um Hufaid, Ibn ʿAbbas's aunt sent some dried yogurt (butter free), ghee (butter) and a mastigar to the Prophet ﷺ as a gift. The Prophet ﷺ ate the dried yogurt and butter but left the mastigar because he disliked it. Ibn ʿAbbas said, "The mastigar was eaten at the table of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and if it had been illegal to eat, it could not have been eaten at the table of Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

Um Hufaid bint Al-Harith bin Hazn presented the Prophet ﷺ with some butter, dried yoghurt (curd milk) and mastigures as a gift. The Prophet ﷺ then asked for a meal (mastigures etc. to be put) and it was eaten over his table cloth, but the Prophet ﷺ did not eat of it, as he had aversion to it. But if it had been illegal to eat, it would not have been eaten over his table cloth nor would he have ordered that (mastigures meat) to be eaten.

The sister of my mother Umm Hufaid presented to Messenger of Allah ﷺ clarified butter (ghee), cheese and some lizards. He ate out of the clarified butter and cheese, but left the lizard finding no liking for it. But it was eaten on the table of Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Had it been forbidden (haram), it could not be eaten on the table of Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

he was asked about eating mastigures. He said: "Umm Hufaid gave some cooking fat, cottage cheese, and mastigures to the Messenger of Allah and the ate some of the cooking fat and cottage cheese, but he did not eat the mastigures because he found them distasteful. If they were Haram they would not have been eaten at the table-spread of the Messenger of Allah and the would not have told others to eat them."

[Machine] That Umm Huwayd, the daughter of Al-Harith bin Hazn, the aunt of Ibn Abbas, gave the Prophet ﷺ Samn, Aqit, and Adubb. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for them and they were eaten from his table. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ left them like he left the leftovers. If it was forbidden, they would not have been eaten from the table of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he would not have ordered for them to be eaten.
