The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do you think if the tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina and Juhaina are better than the tribes of Tamim, 'Amir bin Sa'sa'a, Ghatfan and Asad, they (the second group) are despairing and losing?" They (the Prophet's companions) said, "Yes, (they are)." He said, "By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, they (the first group) are better than them (the second group).

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كَانَ أَسْلَمُ وَغِفَارُ وَمُزَيْنَةُ وَجُهَيْنَةُ خَيْرًا مِنْ تَمِيمٍ وَعَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ وَغَطَفَانَ وَأَسَدٍ خَابُوا وَخَسِرُوا قَالُوا نَعَمْ فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُمْ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Aslam, Ghifar, and Muzainah are better than Tamim, Asad, Ghatafan, and Banu 'Amir bin Sa'sa'ah," prolonging his voice when saying it. So the people said: "They have been treacherous and have lost." He said: "So these are better than them."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَسْلَمُ وَغِفَارُ وَمُزَيْنَةُ خَيْرٌ مِنْ تَمِيمٍ وَأَسَدٍ وَغَطَفَانَ وَبَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ يَمُدُّ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ فَقَالَ الْقَوْمُ قَدْ خَابُوا وَخَسِرُوا قَالَ فَهُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُمْ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

What is your view if Juhaina, Aslam, Ghifar were better than Banu Tamim, Banu 'Abdullah b. Ghatfan and 'Amir b. Sa'sa'a' respectively (then what would be status of the latter one)? He said this in a loud voice. They said: Messenger of Allah, they would be definitely at a loss and disadvantage. Thereupon he said: They (the first group) are decidedly better than the others; and in the hadith transmitted on the authority of Abu Kuraib the words are: It you were to find that Juhaina, Muzaina and Aslam and Ghifar (are better than...). [AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Aslamu, Ghifaru, Juhayna, and Muzayna are better than the Banu Tamim, Asad, Ghatfan, and the Banu Amir ibn Sa'sa'a."
