“I said, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting: ‘We find in the Book of Allah that on Friday there is an hour when no believing slave performs prayer and asks Allah for anything at that time, but Allah will fulfill his need.’” ‘Abdullah said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ pointed to me, saying: ‘Or some part of an hour.’ I said: ‘you are right, or some part of an hour.’ I said: ‘What time is that?’ He said: ‘It is the last hours of the day.’ I said: ‘It is not the time of the prayer?’ He said: ‘Yes (it is so), when a believing slave performs prayer and then sits with nothing but the prayer keeping him, he is still in a state of prayer.’”

قُلْتُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ جَالِسٌ إِنَّا لَنَجِدُ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةٌ لاَ يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُؤْمِنٌ يُصَلِّي يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ فِيهَا شَيْئًا إِلاَّ قَضَى لَهُ حَاجَتَهُ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَأَشَارَ إِلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَوْ بَعْضُ سَاعَةٍ فَقُلْتُ صَدَقْتَ أَوْ بَعْضُ سَاعَةٍ قُلْتُ أَىُّ سَاعَةٍ هِيَ؟ قَالَ هِيَ آخِرُ سَاعَةٍ مِنْ سَاعَاتِ النَّهَارِ قُلْتُ إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ سَاعَةَ صَلاَةٍ قَالَ بَلَى إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ الْمُؤْمِنَ إِذَا صَلَّى ثُمَّ جَلَسَ لاَ يَحْبِسُهُ إِلاَّ الصَّلاَةُ فَهُوَ فِي صَلاَةٍ

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, we find in the Book of Allah, on the day of Friday, an hour where no Muslim servant is praying and asks Allah for something except that Allah grants him what he asked for." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ pointed and said, "Some of the scholars said it is during the last hour of the day." So I said, "The Messenger of Allah spoke the truth." Abu An-Nadr said, "Abu Salamah asked him, 'Which hour is it?' He replied, 'It is the last hour of the day.' So I said, 'It is not a prayer hour.' He said, 'Yes, indeed. The Muslim servant, after he has prayed and then sits in his place of prayer, nothing prevents him except waiting for the prayer.'"

قُلْتُ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جَالِسٌ إِنَّا نَجِدُ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةً لَا يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَسْأَلَ اللهَ ﷻ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ مَا سَأَلَهُ فَأَشَارَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بَعْضُ سَاعَةٍ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ صَدَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ سَأَلْتُهُ أَيَّةَ سَاعَةٍ هِيَ؟ قَالَ آخِرُ سَاعَاتِ النَّهَارِ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِسَاعَةِ صَلَاةٍ فَقَالَ بَلَى إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ الْمُسْلِمَ فِي صَلَاةٍ إِذَا صَلَّى ثُمَّ قَعَدَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ لَا يَحْبِسُهُ إِلَّا انْتِظَارُ الصَّلَاةِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us that there is an hour on Friday during which a Muslim who is engaged in prayer and asks Allah for something good will be given it. Abu Huraira minimized it with his hand. When Abu Huraira passed away, I said, "If I went to Abu Sa'eed and asked him?" So I went to him and asked him. Then I left him and went to Abdullah ibn Salam and asked him. He said, "Allah created Adam on a Friday and took his soul on a Friday, and the Hour will occur on a Friday, which is the last hour." I said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'in prayer,' not the hour of prayer." He said, "Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The supplication of the person awaiting the prayer is granted during the prayer?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'By Allah, it is the same hour.'"

يُحَدِّثُنَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «إِنَّ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةً لَا يُوَافِقُهَا مُسْلِمٌ وَهُوَ فِي صَلَاةٍ يَسْأَلُ اللهَ خَيْرًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ» يُقَلِّلُهَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ بِيَدِهِ فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قُلْتُ لَوْ جِئْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ فَسَأَلْتُهُ؟ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَسَأَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ خَرَجْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ خَلَقَ اللهُ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَقَبَضَهُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَفِيهِ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ وَهِيَ آخِرُ سَاعَةٍ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «فِي صَلَاةٍ» وَلَيْسَتْ سَاعَةَ صَلَاةٍ فَقَالَ أَوَمَا تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مُنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةِ فِي صَلَاةٍ؟» قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ فَهِيَ وَاللهِ هِيَ
