The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah will say to that person of the (Hell) Fire who will receive the least punishment, 'If you had everything on the earth, would you give it as a ransom to free yourself (i.e. save yourself from this Fire)?' He will say, 'Yes.' Then Allah will say, 'While you were in the backbone of Adam, I asked you much less than this, i.e. not to worship others besides Me, but you insisted on worshipping others besides me.' "

أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ لأَهْوَنِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا لَوْ أَنَّ لَكَ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ مِنْ شَىْءٍ كُنْتَ تَفْتَدِي بِهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَقَدْ سَأَلْتُكَ مَا هُوَ أَهْوَنُ مِنْ هَذَا وَأَنْتَ فِي صُلْبِ آدَمَ أَنْ لاَ تُشْرِكَ بِي فَأَبَيْتَ إِلاَّ الشِّرْكَ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah will say to the person who will have the minimum punishment in the Fire on the Day of Resurrection, 'If you had things equal to whatever is on the earth, would you ransom yourself (from the punishment) with it?' He will reply, Yes. Allah will say, 'I asked you a much easier thing than this while you were in the backbone of Adam, that is, not to worship others besides Me, but you refused and insisted to worship others besides Me."'

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى لأَهْوَنِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَوْ أَنَّ لَكَ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ مِنْ شَىْءٍ أَكُنْتَ تَفْتَدِي بِهِ فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ فَيَقُولُ أَرَدْتُ مِنْكَ أَهْوَنَ مِنْ هَذَا وَأَنْتَ فِي صُلْبِ آدَمَ أَنْ لاَ تُشْرِكَ بِي شَيْئًا فَأَبَيْتَ إِلاَّ أَنْ تُشْرِكَ بِي

Allah, the Exalted and High, would say to one who shall have to undergo the least torture (on the Day of Resurrection): Would you like to go as ransom if you had all worldly riches; he would say: Yes. Allah would say to him: When you were in the loins of Adam, I demanded from you something easier than this that you should not associate anything with Me. (The narrator says): I think He also said: I would not cause you to enter Hell-Fire but you defied and attributed Divinity (to others besides Me).

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لأَهْوَنِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا لَوْ كَانَتْ لَكَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا أَكُنْتَ مُفْتَدِيًا بِهَا فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ فَيَقُولُ قَدْ أَرَدْتُ مِنْكَ أَهْوَنَ مِنْ هَذَا وَأَنْتَ فِي صُلْبِ آدَمَ أَنْ لاَ تُشْرِكَ أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ وَلاَ أُدْخِلَكَ النَّارَ فَأَبَيْتَ إِلاَّ الشِّرْكَ

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , Allah says: "O inhabitants of the Fire, if you had everything that is on the earth and you offered it to ransom yourself, would it not be accepted from you?” They will reply, “Yes.” Then Allah will say, “That is what I wanted from you before when you were still in the loins of Adam - that you should not associate anything with Me in worship, but you used to associate partners with Me."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللهُلِأَهْوَنِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا لَوْ أَنَّ لَكَ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ كُنْتَ تَفْتَدِي بِهِ؟ فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ فَيَقُولُ قَدْ أَرَدْتُ مِنْكَ مَا هُوَ أَهْوَنُ مِنْ هَذَا وَأَنْتَ فِي صُلْبِ آدَمَ أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكَ بِي فَأَبَيْتَ إِلَّا أَنْ تُشْرِكَ بِي

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "On the Day of Judgment, it will be said to the person from the people of the Hellfire, 'Have you seen if you had everything on the earth, would you give it up as a ransom?' He will say, 'Yes.' Then it will be said to him, 'I had asked you for something easier than that, when I asked you not to associate partners with Me, but you refused except to associate partners with Me.' "

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يُقَالُ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ لَكَ مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَكُنْتَ مُفْتَدِيًا بِهِ؟ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ قَدْ أَرَدْتُ مِنْكَ أَهْوَنَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ قَدْ أَخَذْتُ عَلَيْكَ فِي ظَهْرِ آدَمَ أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكَ بِي شَيْئًا فَأَبَيْتَ إِلَّا أَنْ تُشْرِكَ

"إِن الله تَعَالى يَقولُ لأهْوَنِ أهْلِ النار عَذابًا: لَوْ أنَّ لَكَ مَا في الأرْضِ مِنْ شَيء كنت تَفْتَدِى بِهِ؟ قَال نَعَمْ. قَال: فَقَدْ سَألتُكَ مَا هُوَ أهْوَنُ مِنْ هَذَا، وأنتَ في صُلبِ آدَمَ أن لا تُشْركَ بى فَأبَيتَ إِلا الشرْكَ".

"يُقَالُ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ: أَرأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ لَكَ مَا عَلَى الأَرْضِ مِنْ شَىْءٍ أَكُنْتَ مُفْتَدِيًا بهِ؟ فَيَقُولُ: نَعَمْ، (فيَقُولُ): قَدْ أَرَدْتُ مِنْكَ أَهْوَنَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، قَدْ أَخَذْتُ عَلَيْكَ فِى ظَهْرِ آدَمَ أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكَ بِى شَيْئًا فَأَبَيْتَ إِلَّا (أَنْ) تُشْرِكَ".
