So, he lightened his prayer, then he entered the house and came out repeating all of that, praying. أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فِي حُجْرَتِهِ فَجَاءَ أُنَاسٌ فَصَلَّوْا بِصَلَاتِهِ فَخَفَّفَ فَدَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَعَادَ مِرَارًا كُلَّ ذَلِكَ يُصَلِّي فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّيْتَ وَنَحْنُ نُحِبُّ أَنْ تَمُدَّ فِي صَلَاتِكَ قَالَ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ بِمَكَانِكُمْ وَعَمْدًا فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ was praying in his room one night when some of his companions came and prayed with his prayer. He reduced it then entered the house, then came out and did that again. He kept praying and then leaving. When morning came, they said, "O Messenger of Allah, we prayed with you last night and we would love for you to prolong your prayer."
