The best gift is certainty and well-being
[AI] Abu Bakr ᴿᴬ entered upon us while we were in the Rawdah. He ascended the pulpit, praised Allah ﷻ and extolled Him, then said: "O people, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on these wooden steps last year: "The servant is given nothing better than sound certainty and well-being, so ask Allah ﷻ for sound certainty and well-being."" We do not know of any hadith that Sahl ibn Sad narrated with a connected chain from Abu Bakr from the Prophet ﷺ except this hadith. This hadith is not narrated from Sahl ibn Sad except through this route with this chain. Sahl ibn Sad has also narrated from Abu Bakr a mawquf hadith.
