[Machine] I witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting in the prayer, but he left out something that he did not recite. A man said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, you left out a verse such and such, should you not have reminded me of it then?" He replied, "I saw that it had been abrogated."  

البيهقي:٥٧٨٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْإِسْفَرَايِينِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَحْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْبَرْبَهَارِيُّ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْكَاهِلِيُّ عَنْ مِسْوَرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَسَدِيِّ قَالَ

شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَتَرَكَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَقْرَأْهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ تَرَكْتَ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ يَعْنِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَهَلَّا أَذْكَرْتَنِيهَا إِذًا قَالَ كُنْتُ أَرَاهَا نُسِخَتْ  

أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ فِي كِتَابِ السُّنَنِ
