bayhaqi:21544 – Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad b. Nuṣayr al-Khuldī > Mūsá b. Hārūn > Qutaybah b. Saʿīd > al-Mughīrah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman > ʿAbd al-Majīd b. Suhayl > ʿAṭāʾ b. Abū Rabāḥ > Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh > a man from al-Anṣār Aʿtaq Ghulām Lah

[Machine] From the back and was in need, so he mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah. So he called him and said, "Did you free your slave?" He said, "Yes." So the Prophet, ﷺ , said, "You are more in need of him." Then he said, "Who will buy him?" He said, "Nuaim bin Abdullah, I will buy him." So the Prophet, ﷺ , took its price and handed it over to its owner.  

البيهقي:٢١٥٤٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نُصَيْرٍ الْخُلْدِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ بْنِ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَعْتَقَ غُلَامًا لَهُ

عَنْ دُبُرٍ وَكَانَ مُحْتَاجًا فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَعَاهُ فَقَالَ أَعْتَقْتَ غُلَامَكَ؟ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْتَ أَحْوَجُ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ يَشْتَرِيهِ؟ فَقَالَ نُعَيْمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَا فَاشْتَرَاهُ فَأَخَذَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ثَمَنَهُ فَدَفَعَهُ إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ

[Machine] About a debtor who was in need, so he mentioned it to the Prophet ﷺ who called him and said, "Have you freed your servant?" He replied, "Yes." Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "You are the one who is in need of him." Then he said, "Who will buy him?" He said, "Nuaim bin Abdullah, it's me." So the Prophet ﷺ bought him and paid his price to his owner.
