I heard ʿUthman bin ʿAffan ؓ say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿWhoever says at the beginning of the day or the beginning of the night, ‘In the Name of Allah with Whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and he is the All-Hearing. All-Knowing.ʿ three times, nothing will harm him during that day or that night.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ فِي أَوَّلِ يَوْمِهِ أَوْ فِي أَوَّلِ لَيْلَتِهِ بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ شَيْءٌ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ أَوْ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ

that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says, 'In the name of Allah with Whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and he is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing' three times, will not be struck unaware by calamity until night comes, and whoever says it in the evening will not be struck unaware by calamity until morning comes, Allah Willing.”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَالَ: (بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ) ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، لَمْ تَفْجَأْهُ فَاجِئَةُ بَلاءٍ حَتَّى اللَّيْلِ، وَمَنْ قَالَهَا حِينَ يُمْسِي لَمْ تَفْجَأْهُ فَاجِئَةُ بَلاءٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ۔»

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever says in the morning and evening of every day the following words: 'In the name of Allah with Whose name nothing in the earth or sky can harm, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing,' three times, nothing will harm him."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَقُولُ فِي صَبَاحِ كُلِّ يَوْمٍ وَمَسَاءِ كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَيَضُرُّهُ شَيْءٌ

ʿWhoever says, ʿIn the Name of Allah with Whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and he is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.ʿ three times, will not be struck unawares by calamity until night comes, and whoever says it in the evening will not be struck unawares by calamity until morning comes, in shaʿ Allah.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 528)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ لَمْ تَفْجَأْهُ فَاجِئَةُ بَلَاءٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَإِنْ قَالَهَا حِينَ يُمْسِي لَمْ تَفْجَأْهُ فَاجِئَةُ بَلَاءٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ»

ʿWhoever says, ʿIn the Name of Allah with Whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and he is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.ʿ three times, will not be struck unawares by calamity until night comes, and whoever says it in the evening will not be struck unawares by calamity until morning comes, in shaʿ Allah.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 528)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ لَمْ تَفْجَأْهُ فَاجِئَةُ بَلَاءٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَمَنْ قَالَهَا حِينَ يُمْسِي لَمْ تَفْجَأْهُ فَاجِئَةُ بَلَاءٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ»

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: "Whoever says in the morning, 'In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing,' nothing will harm him suddenly on that day. And whoever says it in the evening, nothing will harm him suddenly on that night."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ فِي يَوْمِهِ فَجْأَةُ بَلَاءٍ وَمَنْ قَالَهَا حِينَ يُمْسِي لَمْ يَعْنِي يُصِبْهُ فِي لَيْلَتِهِ فَجْأَةُ بَلَاءٍ

"مَنْ قَال حِينَ يُمْسِي: بِسْمِ الله الَّذِي لا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلا فِي السَّمَاءِ، وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ، ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ فَجْأَةُ بَلاءٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ (وَمَنْ قَالهَا حِينَ يُصبِحُ) ثَلَاثَ مَرَّات لَم يُصِبهُ فَجأَةُ بَلَاءٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِي".

"مَن قَال إِذَا أَصبَحَ وَإِذَا أَمسَى ثَلَاثَ مَرَّات: بِسمِ الله الَّذِي لا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسمِهِ شَيءٌ في الأَرْضِ ولا في السَّمَاءِ، وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ، لَم يُصِبهُ في يَومِهِ وَلا في ليلَتِهِ شيءٌ".

"ما مِنْ عبْدٍ يقُولُ فِي (*) صباحٍ في كُلِّ يوْمٍ، ومساء كُلِّ لَيلَةٍ: بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لا يضُرُّ مع اسْمِهِ شيءٌ فِي الأَرْضِ ولا فِي السَّماءِ وهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيم ثلاثَ مرَّاتٍ فَلا يضُرَّهُ شَيءٌ".
