[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions prayed towards Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa for sixteen months, then the Qibla (direction of prayer) was changed.

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابُهُ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا ثُمَّ صُرِفَتِ الْقِبْلَةُ بَعْدُ

We prayed along with the Prophet ﷺ facing Jerusalem for sixteen or seventeen months.
