“Asma’ said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! The children of Ja’far have been afflicted by the evil eye, shall I recite Ruqyah* for them?’ He said: ‘Yes, for if anything were to overtake the Divine decree it would be the evil eye.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3510)  

أحمد:٢٧٤٧٠ – حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ الزُّرَقِيِّ قَالَ قَالَتْ

" I said: 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Some of Ja'far's children have suffered from an accelerated case of the inflammation of the eye, so should I have them treated with Ruqyah?' He said: 'Yes,for indeed if there was anything that could overcome the Decree, then the evil eye would overcome it."

[Machine] I said, O Messenger of Allah, the evil eye tends to fall upon the children of Ja'far, should I seek protection for them? He replied, "Yes, seek protection for them, for if I were to say that anything could precede destiny, I would say that the evil eye precedes it."  

الطبراني:٢٠٨٤٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا عَوْنُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بَابَيْهِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ قَالَتْ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ تُسْرِعُ إِلَى بَنِي جَعْفَرٍ أَفَأَسْتَرْقِي لَهُمْ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ فَاسْتَرْقِي لَهُمْ فَلَوْ قُلْتُ إِنَّ شَيْئًا يَسْبِقُ الْقَدَرَ لَقُلْتُ إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ سَبَقَتْهُ»

[Machine] She said to the Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , "Indeed, the family lineage of Ja'far is affected by the evil eye, so should we seek a cure for them?" He replied, "Yes, if anything were to hasten destiny, it would be the evil eye that comes before it."
