[Machine] A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was standing at the door and I was listening, "I woke up in a state of major impurity (junub), but I want to fast." The Prophet ﷺ said, "I also woke up in a state of major impurity (junub), but I intend to fast." The man said, "I am not like you. Allah has forgiven you for your past and future sins." This angered the Prophet ﷺ , so he said, "I hope to be the most conscious of you of my Lord and I know best what I fear."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Mamar al-Ansari from Abu Yunus, the mawla of A'isha, from A'isha that she overheard a man standing at the door saying to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ "Messenger of Allah, I get up in the morning junub, in a state of major ritual impurity, and want to fast," and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I too get up in the morning junub and want to fast, so I do ghusl and fast."
