"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'No Imam closes his door on one in need, dire straits and poverty, except that Allah closes the gates of the Heavens from his dire straits, his needs, and his poverty.' So Mu'awiyah appointed a man to look after the needs of the people."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ إِمَامٍ يُغْلِقُ بَابَهُ دُونَ ذَوِي الْحَاجَةِ وَالْخَلَّةِ وَالْمَسْكَنَةِ إِلاَّ أَغْلَقَ اللَّهُ أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ دُونَ خَلَّتِهِ وَحَاجَتِهِ وَمَسْكَنَتِهِ فَجَعَلَ مُعَاوِيَةُ رَجُلاً عَلَى حَوَائِجِ النَّاسِ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ  

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'No Imam closes his door on one in need, dire straits and poverty, except that Allah closes the gates of the Heavens from his dire straits, his needs, and his poverty.' سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ وَالٍ يُغْلَقُ بَابَهُ عَنْ ذِي الْخَلَّةِ وَالْحَاجَةِ وَالْمَسْكَنَةِ إِلَّا أَغْلَقَ اللهُ أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ دُونَ خَلَّتِهِ وَحَاجَتِهِ وَمَسْكَنَتِهِ  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever closes his door to those in need, to companionship, and to shelter, then Allah will close the door of the heavens to him, despite his need, poverty, and shelter." Sahih.  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ أَغْلَقَ بَابَهُ دُونَ ذَوِي الْحَاجَةِ وَالْخَلَّةِ وَالْمَسْكَنَةِ أَغْلَقَ اللَّهُ بَابَ السَّمَاءِ دُونَ خَلَّتِهِ وَحَاجَتِهِ وَفَقْرِهِ وَمَسْكَنَتِهِ» صحيح  

"مَا مِنْ إِمَامٍ أَوْ وَال يُغْلِقُ بَابَه دُونَ ذَوي الحَاجَة وَالخَلَّة وَالمَسكنة، إِلا أَغْلَقَ الله أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ دُونَ خَلَّته (*) وحَاجَتِه وَمَسْكَنَتِهِ".  

"مَا مِنْ أَمِيرٍ وَلا وَال يُغْلق بَابَه دُونَ ذَوي الخَلَّةِ وَالحَاجَةِ وَالمَسْكَنَةِ، إِلا أَغْلقَ اللهُ أَبْوَابَ السَّماءِ دُونَ حَاجَته وَخَلّته وَمَسكنَته".  

"مَنْ أَغْلَقَ بَابَهُ دُونَ ذَوي الْحَاجَةِ وَالْخَلَّةِ وَالْمَسْكَنَةِ أَغْلَقَ اللهُ بَابَ السَّماءِ دُونَ خَلَّتِه وَحَاجَتِهِ وَفَقرِه وَمَسْكَنَتِهِ".
