[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ spat in his palm one day and placed his finger on it, then said, "Allah says, 'O son of Adam, how can you challenge me when I created you from something like this? After I fashioned and shaped you, you walk between two feet while the earth belongs to you and is your support. You gather and withhold until you reach your grave, and then you say, 'Shall I give in charity now?' and 'When is the time for charity?'"  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَزَقَ يَوْمًا فِي كَفِّهِ فَوَضَعَ عَلَيْهَا أُصْبُعَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ قَالَ اللهُ ابْنَ آدَمَ أَنَّى تُعْجِزُنِي وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِنْ مِثْلِ هَذِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا سَوَّيْتُكَ وَعَدَلْتُكَ مَشَيْتَ بَيْنَ بُرْدَيْنِ وَلِلْأَرْضِ مِنْكَ وَئِيدٌ فَجَمَعْتَ وَمَنَعْتَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ قُلْتَ أَتَصَدَّقُ وَأَنَّى أَوَانُ الصَّدَقَةِ  

[Machine] Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spat into his palm, then placed his finger on it, and said, "Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says, 'O son of Adam, you challenge me when I have created you from something like this until I have made you complete and balanced. You walk, gather, and withhold until you reach the time of death. Then you say, "Shall I give charity now when it is too late?"'"  

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَزَقَ فِي كَفِّهِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ عَلَيْهَا إِصْبَعَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ تُعْجِزُنِي وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِنْ مِثْلِ هَذَا حَتَّى إِذَا سَوَّيْتُكَ وَعَدَلْتُكَ مَشَيْتَ وَجَمَعَتْ وَمَنَعَتْ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ قُلْتَ أَتَصَدَّقُ وَأَنَّى أَوَانُ الصَّدَقَةِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited this verse, "So what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muhammad], from the right and from the left, in groups? Does every person among them aspire to enter a garden of pleasure? No! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spat onto his hand and said, "Allah says, 'O son of Adam, how can you disobey Me when I have created you like this, to the extent that when I have formed you and made you upright, you walked between the flesh and the bone, and for the Earth you are no more than a handful.' This means that you have complaints, so you gather and withhold until you reach the graves, saying, 'Will I give in charity now when the time for giving in charity has come?'"  

تَلَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {فَمَالِ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا قَبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِينَ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ أَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٍ كَلَّا إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِمَّا يَعْلَمُونَ} ثُمَّ بَزَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى كَفِّهِ فَقَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ أَنَّى تُعْجِزُنِي وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِنْ مِثْلِ هَذِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا سَوَّيْتُكَ وَعَدَلْتُكَ مَشَيْتَ بَيْنَ بُرْدَتَيْنِ وَلِلْأَرْضِ مِنْكَ وَئِيدٌ يَعْنِي شَكْوَى فَجَمَعْتَ وَمَنَعْتَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ قُلْتَ «أَتَصَدَّقُ وَأَنَّى أَوَانُ الصَّدَقَةِ»  

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ spat on his hand one day, and then placed his finger on it, and said, "O son of Adam, indeed Allah says, 'You will not be able to weaken Me, and I have created you from the likeness of this (spit)." Until when I have formed and perfected you, you walked on your two legs, and for the earth from you is a stronghold. You gathered and made, until when you reached the necks (of the people), you said, 'Shall I give in charity? And how is the time for charity?"  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَصَقَ يَوْمًا عَلَى كَفِّهِ فَوَضَعَ عَلَيْهَا إِصْبَعَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يَقُولُ لَنْ تُعْجِزَنِي وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِنْ مِثْلِ هَذِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا سَوَّيْتُكَ وَعَدَّلْتُكَ مَشَيْتَ بَيْنَ بُرْدَيْنِ وَلِلْأَرْضِ مِنْكَ وَئِيدٌ فَجَمَعْتَ وَصَنَعْتَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ قُلْتَ أَتَصَدَّقُ وَأَنَّى أَوَانُ الصَّدَقَةِ؟  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ extended his hand and spat into it. Then, he looked at his spit and said, "Verily, Allah says: 'How can you prevent Me, O son of Adam, while I am the one who created you from something like this? I formed and shaped you, and I made you walk between two sides (i.e. legs). The land is under your control, and you gather and withhold wealth. When you reach the lowest point (i.e. when death approaches), you ask, 'Will I give charity now? And when is the time for charity?"  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ فَبَصَقَ فِيهَا فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ كَيْفَ تُعْجِزُنِي ابْنَ آدَمَ وَإِنَّما خَلَقْتُكَ مِنْ مِثْلِ هَذِهِ فَسَوَّيْتُكَ وَعَدَّلْتُكَ وَمَشَيْتَ بَيْنَ بُرْدَيْنِ وَلِلْأَرْضِ مِنْكَ وَئِيدٌ فَجَمَعْتَ وَمَنَعْتَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ قُلْتَ أَتَصَدَّقُ الْآنَ وَأَنَّى أَوَانُ الصَّدَقَةِ؟  

"يَقُولُ اللَّه: يَا بْنَ آدَمَ: أَنَّى تُعْجِزُنِى وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِنْ مِثْلِ هَذَا؟ ! حَتَّى إِذَا سَوَّيْتُكَ وَعَدَلْتُكَ مَشَيْتُ بَيْنَ بُرْدَيْنِ وَلِلأرْضِ مِنْكَ وَئِيدٌ، فَجَمَعْتَ وَمَنَعْتَ، حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغتِ التَّرَاقِى قُلْتَ: أَتَصَدَّقُ، وَأَنَّى أَوَانُ الصَّدَقَةِ؟ ! "  

" عَنْ بِشْرِ بنيِ جِحَاشٍ قَالَ: بَزَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا فَوَضَعَ عَلَيْهَا إِصْبَعَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ الله تَعَالَى يَقُولُ: كَيْفَ تُعْجِزُنِى يَا بْنَ آدَمَ وَقَد خَلَقْتُكَ مِنْ مِثْلِ هَذِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا سَوَّيْتُكَ وَعَدلْتُكَ مَشَيْتَ بَيْنَ بُرْدَيْنِ وَلِلأَرْضِ مِنْكَ وَئِيدٌ (* *)، فَجَمَعْتَ وَمَنَعْتَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّراقِىَ، قُلتَ: أَتَصَدَّقُ وَأَنَّى أَوَانُ الصَّدَقَةِ؟ ! ".
