that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah has made a parable of the straight path: At the sides of the path there are walls with open doors, each door having a curtain. There is a caller at the head of the path calling, and a caller above it calling. And Allah invites to the abode of peace and guides whomever He wills to the straight path. The doors which are on the sides of the path are the Hudud (legal limitations) of Allah; no one breaches the Hudud of Allah except that curtain is lifted, and the one calling from above it is his Lord."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ ضَرَبَ مَثَلاً صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمًا عَلَى كَنَفَىِ الصِّرَاطِ سُورَانِ لَهُمَا أَبْوَابٌ مُفَتَّحَةٌ عَلَى الأَبْوَابِ سُتُورٌ وَدَاعٍ يَدْعُو عَلَى رَأْسِ الصِّرَاطِ وَدَاعٍ يَدْعُو فَوْقَهُ (وَاللَّهُ يَدْعُو إِلَى دَارِ السَّلاَمِ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ) وَالأَبْوَابُ الَّتِي عَلَى كَنَفَىِ الصِّرَاطِ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ فَلاَ يَقَعُ أَحَدٌ فِي حُدُودِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُكْشَفَ السِّتْرُ وَالَّذِي يَدْعُو مِنْ فَوْقِهِ وَاعِظُ رَبِّهِ  

We were with the Prophet ﷺ, and he drew a line (in the sand), then he drew two lines to its right and two to its left. Then he put his hand on the middle line and said : 'This is the path of Allah. Then he recited the Verse: And verily, this (i.e. Allah's Commandments) is My straight path, so follow it and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you from His path..."  

كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَخَطَّ خَطًّا وَخَطَّ خَطَّيْنِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَخَطَّ خَطَّيْنِ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ فِي الْخَطِّ الأَوْسَطِ فَقَالَ هَذَا سَبِيلُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ تَلاَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ {وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ}  

We were with the Prophet ﷺ, and he drew a line (in the sand), then he drew two lines to its right and two to its left. Then he put his hand on the middle line and said : 'This is the path of Allah. كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَخَطَّ خَطًّا هَكَذَا أَمَامَهُ فَقَالَ هَذَا سَبِيلُ اللهِ وَخَطَّيْنِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَخَطَّيْنِ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ قَالَ هَذِهِ سَبِيلُ الشَّيْطَانِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ فِي الْخَطِّ الْأَوْسَطِ ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ ذَلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ} [الأنعام 153]  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew lines for us and said, "This is the way of Allah." Then he drew lines to the right and left of it and said, "These are other ways." He added, "There are devils upon every one of these ways, inviting people to it." Then he recited, "And indeed, this is My straight path, so follow it; and do not follow other ways, for it will separate you from His way." [Surah Al-An'am: 153]  

خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَطًّا ثُمَّ قَالَ هَذَا سَبِيلُ اللهِ ثُمَّ خَطَّ خُطُوطًا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَذِهِ سُبُلٌ قَالَ يَزِيدُ مُتَفَرِّقَةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ سَبِيلٍ مِنْهَا شَيْطَانٌ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ (وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ) [الأنعام153]  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ drew a line with his hand and said, "This is the straight path of Allah." Then he drew lines to his right and left and said, "These are deviated paths, and on every one of them there is a devil calling to it." Then he recited, "And indeed, this is My path, which is straight, so follow it. And do not follow [other] paths." [Surah Al-An'am, 153]

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew a line for us one day and said, "This is the way of Allah." Then he drew lines to his right and left and said, "These are various paths, on each of them there is a devil who calls to it." Then he recited, "And that this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for they will separate you from His way." [Surah Al-An'am: 153]  

خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا خَطًّا ثُمَّ قَالَ «هَذَا سَبِيلُ اللَّهِ» ثُمَّ خَطَّ خُطُوطًا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «هَذِهِ سُبُلٌ عَلَى كُلِّ سَبِيلٍ مِنْهَا شَيْطَانٌ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ» ثُمَّ تَلَا {وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ} [الأنعام 153]  

[Machine] From Nuwas bin Sam'an, a companion of the Prophet ﷺ , who narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah sets forth an example of a straight path with walls on both sides. Between these walls, there are open doors, and on these doors, there are curtains. On this path, there is a caller who calls out, saying: 'Oh people, walk on this path altogether and do not deviate.' There is also a caller who calls out against this path, and if any one of you wants to open any of those doors, he will say: 'Woe to you! Do not open it, for if you do, you will enter it.' This path represents Islam, the walls are the limits of Allah, the open doors are the prohibitions of Allah, the caller on top of the path is the Qur'an, and the caller from above is Allah's admonition, reminding every Muslim in their hearts."  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمًا عَلَى كَتِفَيَّ الصِّرَاطِ سُورَانِ فِيهِمَا أَبْوَابٌ مُفَتَّحَةٌ وَعَلَى الْأَبْوَابِ سُتُورٌ مُرْخَاةٌ وَعَلَى الصِّرَاطِ دَاعٍ يَدْعُو يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اسْلُكُوا الصِّرَاطَ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَعْوَجُّوا وَدَاعٍ يَدْعُو عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَتْحَ شَيْءٍ مِنْ تِلْكَ الْأَبْوَابِ قَالَ وَيْلَكَ لَا تَفْتَحْهُ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ تَفْتَحْهُ تَلِجْهُ فَالصِّرَاطُ الْإِسْلَامُ وَالسُّتُورُ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ وَالْأَبْوَابُ الْمُفَتَّحَةُ مَحَارِمُ اللَّهِ وَالدَّاعِي الَّذِي عَلَى رَأْسِ الصِّرَاطِ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ وَالدَّاعِي مِنْ فَوْقُ وَاعِظُ اللَّهِ يَذْكُرِ فِي قَلْبِ كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew a line for us, then he drew lines on his right and left. Then he said, "This is the way of Allah, and these are different paths, on every path there is a devil calling towards it." [And, "This is My path, which is straight, so follow it, and do not follow other paths, for they will lead you away from His path."] (Surah Al-An'am, 153)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew a line and drew lines to the right and left of that line. Then he said, "This is the straight path of your Lord, and these are the other paths, upon each of which there is a devil inviting to it." Then he recited, "And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way." [Surah Al-An'am 153]  

خَطَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَطًّا وَخَطَّ عَنْ يَمِينِ ذَلِكَ الْخَطِّ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ خَطًّا ثُمَّ قَالَ «هَذَا صِرَاطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيمًا وَهَذِهِ السُّبُلُ عَلَى كُلِّ سَبِيلٍ مِنْهَا شَيْطَانٌ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ» ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ} [الأنعام 153]  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, drew a line for us and said, "This is the path of Allah." Then he drew other lines to the right and left of it and said, "These are paths, and there is a devil calling to each of them." Then he recited, "{And indeed, this is My path, which is straight} until the end of the verse."  

خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَطًّا فَقَالَ «هَذَا سَبِيلُ اللَّهِ» ثُمَّ خَطَّ خُطُوطًا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «وَهَذِهِ سُبُلٌ عَلَى كُلِّ سَبِيلٍ مِنْهَا شَيْطَانٌ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ» ثُمَّ تَلَا «{وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا} إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ »  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew lines for us from his right and his left and said, "These are different paths, and along each path there is a devil calling to it." Then he recited the verse, "And verily, this is My straight path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His path." (Quran 6:153)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ ضَرَبَ مَثَلًا صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمًا عَلَى كَتِفَيِ الصِّرَاطِ سُورَانِ لَهُمَا أَبْوَابٌ مُفَتَّحَةٌ وَعَلَى الْأَبْوَابِ سُورٌ وَدَاعٍ يَدْعُو عَلَى رَأْسِ الصِّرَاطِ وَدَاعٍ يَدْعُو مِنْ فَوْقِهِ {وَاللهُ يَدْعُو إِلَى دَارِ السَّلَامِ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ} [يونس 25] فَالْأَبْوَابُ الَّتِي عَلَى كَتِفَيِ الصِّرَاطِ حُدُودُ اللهِ لَا يَقَعُ أَحَدٌ فِي حُدُودِ اللهِ حَتَّى يَكْشِفَ سِتْرَ اللهِ وَالَّذِي يَدْعُو مِنْ فَوْقِهِ وَاعِظُ اللهِ ﷻ  

[Machine] Abdullah said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew a line for us one day and Asim drew another line for us. He said, "This is the path of Allah." Then he drew lines to the right and left of the main line and said, "These are the other paths, and on each of these paths, there is a devil calling towards it." Then he recited the verse, "And indeed, this is my straight path, so follow it and do not follow other ways, lest they lead you away from His way." [Surah Al-An'am 6:153] That is what He has enjoined upon you that you may become righteous.  

قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا خَطًّا وَخَطَّهُ لَنَا عَاصِمٌ فَقَالَ «هَذَا سَبِيلُ اللهِ» ثُمَّ خَطَّ عَنْ يَمِينِ الْخَطِّ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ فَقَالَ «هَذَا السَّبِيلُ وَهَذِهِ سُبُلٌ عَلَى كُلِّ سَبِيلٍ مِنْهَا شَيْطَانٌ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ» ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا} [الأنعام 153] لِلْخَطِّ الْأَوَّلِ {وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ} [الأنعام 153] لِلْخُطُوطِ {فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ} [الأنعام 153] ذَلِكُمْ {وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ} [الأنعام 153]  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew a line and drew lines to its right and left. Then he said, "This is the straight path of Allah, and these are different paths. On each of these paths, there is a devil inviting towards it." Then he recited, "And indeed, this is My straight path" [Surah Al-An'am 153].

"ضَرَبَ الله تَعَالى مَثَلًا صِرَاطًا - مُسْتَقِيِمًا، وعلى جَنْبَتَى الْصِّرَاطِ سُورَان فيهمَا أَبْوَابٌ مُفَتحةٌ - عَلَى الأَبَوَابِ سَتُورٌ مرخَاةٌ، وَعَلَى بَابِ الصِّرَاطِ دَاعٍ يَقُولُ. يا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ادُخُلُوا الصِّرَاطَ جَميعًا، ولَا تَتَعَوَّجُوا، وداع يدْعُو مِنْ لوقِ الصِّرَاطِ، فَإِذَا أَرَاد الإِنْسَانُ أَنْ يَفتَحَ شَيَئًا مِنْ تِلْك الأَبَوَابِ قَال: وَيحَكَ لَا تَفْتَحْهُ؛ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ تَفْتَحْه تَلِجه، فَالصِّرَاطُ: الإسْلَامُ، وَالسُّورَان حَدُودُ الله، وَالأَبْوَاب الْمُفتحَة: محَارمُ الله وذَلِكَ الْدَّاعِى عَلى رَأسِ الصِّراطِ: كِتَابُ الله، والدَّاعِى مِن فَوْق: وَأَعظ الله في قَلْب كُلِّ مُسْلِم".
