[Machine] Iyas ibn 'Abd al-Muzani, who was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , heard and said, "Do not sell water, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the sale of water. He did not differentiate which water it was, whether it is a new source or from a person's possession."  

أحمد:١٧٢٣٦ – حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْمِنْهَالِ

سَمِعَ إِيَاسَ بْنَ عَبْدٍ الْمُزَنِيَّ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَبِيعُوا الْمَاءَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَاءِ لَا يَدْرِي عَمْرٌو أَيَّ مَاءٍ هُوَحَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ

[Machine] I heard Iyas ibn Abd Al-Muzanni, one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, saying, "Do not sell water, for I heard the Prophet ﷺ forbidding the selling of water." Amru ibn Dinar said, "We do not know which water he means?" He replied, "He means the flowing water or the extracted water."  

الدارمي:٢٦٥٤ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ قَالَ
