I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: There has been no Prophet after Noah who has not warned his people about the antichrist (Dajjal), and I warn you of him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ described him to us, saying: Perhaps some who have seen me and heard my words will live till his time. The people asked: Messenger of Allah! what will be the condition of our hearts on that day? Like what we are today? He replied: Or better.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ بَعْدَ نُوحٍ إِلاَّ وَقَدْ أَنْذَرَ الدَّجَّالَ قَوْمَهُ وَإِنِّي أُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ فَوَصَفَهُ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ لَعَلَّهُ سَيُدْرِكُهُ مَنْ قَدْ رَآنِي وَسَمِعَ كَلاَمِي قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ قُلُوبُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ أَمِثْلُهَا الْيَوْمَ قَالَ أَوْ خَيْرٌ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'There was never a Prophet after Nuh but that he warned his people about the Dajjal, and indeed I shall warn you of him.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ described him for us, and he said: "Perhaps some of you who see me, or hear my words shall live to see him." They said: "O Messenger of Allah! How will our hearts be on that day?" He said: "The same – that is, as today – or better.” (Hasan)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ بَعْدَ نُوحٍ إِلاَّ قَدْ أَنْذَرَ الدَّجَّالَ قَوْمَهُ وَإِنِّي أُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ فَوَصَفَهُ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَعَلَّهُ سَيُدْرِكُهُ بَعْضُ مَنْ رَآنِي أَوْ سَمِعَ كَلاَمِي قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَكَيْفَ قُلُوبُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ قَالَ مِثْلُهَا يَعْنِي الْيَوْمَ أَوْ خَيْرٌ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There was no prophet after Noah except that he warned his people about the Dajjal (the Antichrist), and indeed I am warning you about him." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then described him to us saying, "You will either meet him or some of those who saw me will meet him and hear from me." We asked, "O Messenger of Allah, will our hearts be the same as they are today on that day?" He said, "Or better." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about this in his summary.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ بَعْدَ نُوحٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَنْذَرَ أُمَّتَهُ الدَّجَّالَ وَإِنِّي أُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ» فَوَصَفَهُ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّكُمْ سَتُدْرِكُونَهُ أَوْ سَيُدْرِكُهُ بَعْضُ مَنْ رَآنِي وَسَمِعَ مِنِّي» قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قُلُوبُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ كَمَا هِيَ الْيَوْمُ؟ قَالَ «أَوْ خَيْرٌ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: There has been no Prophet after Noah who has not warned his people about the antichrist (Dajjal), and I warn you of him. سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَنْذَرَ قَوْمَهُ الدَّجَّالَ وَإِنِّي أُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ» قَالَ فَوَصَفَهُ لَنَا وَقَالَ «لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يُدْرِكَهُ بَعْضُ مَنْ رَآنِي أَوْ سَمِعَ كَلَامِي» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قُلُوبُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ مِثْلُهَا الْيَوْمَ؟ فَقَالَ «أَوْ خَيْرٌ»

"إِنَّه لَم يَكُنْ نبىٌّ بَعْدَ نُوحٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَنذر الدَّجَّالَ قَوْمَهُ، وَإِنِّى أُنْذركُمُوهُ لَعَلَّهُ سَيُدْرِكُهُ بَعْضُ منْ قَدْ رآنى؛ وسمع كلامى، قالوا: يا رسول اللَّه، فكيف قُلُوبنا يَؤْمَئذ؟ قال: مثْلُهَا الْيَوْمَ أوْ خَيْرٌ".

"سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ يَقُولُ: "إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِىٌّ بَعْدَ نُوحٍ إلَّا قَدْ أَنْذَرَ قَوْمَهُ الدَّجَّالَ، وَإنِّى أُنْذِرْكمُوهُ فَوَصَفهُ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ بِحَليَةٍ لاَ أَحْفَظُهَا وقَالَ: لَعَلَّهُ يُدْرِكُهُ بَعْضُ مَنْ رآنِى أو سَمِع كَلاَمِى، قُلنَا: يَا رَسُولَ الله: قُلُوبُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ مِثْلُها الْيَوْمَ؟ قَالَ: أَوْ خَيْرٌ".
