The Prophet ﷺ said: No (Muslim) man will desert a man who is a Muslim in a place where his respect may be violated and his honour aspersed without Allah deserting him in a place here he wishes his help; and no (Muslim) man who will help a Muslim in a place where his honour may be aspersed and his respect violated without Allah helping him in a place where he wishes his help. Yahya said: 'Ubaid Allah b. 'Abd Allah b. 'Umar and 'Uqbah b. Shaddad transmitted it to me. Abu Dawud said: This yahya b. Sulaim is the son of Zaid, the freed slave of the Prophet ﷺ, and Isma'il b. Bashir is the freed slave of Banu Maghalah. Sometimes the name of 'Utbah b. Shaddad is mentioned instead of 'Uqbah.  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا مِنِ امْرِئٍ يَخْذُلُ امْرَأً مُسْلِمًا فِي مَوْضِعٍ تُنْتَهَكُ فِيهِ حُرْمَتُهُ وَيُنْتَقَصُ فِيهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ إِلاَّ خَذَلَهُ اللَّهُ فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُّ فِيهِ نُصْرَتَهُ وَمَا مِنِ امْرِئٍ يَنْصُرُ مُسْلِمًا فِي مَوْضِعٍ يُنْتَقَصُ فِيهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ وَيُنْتَهَكُ فِيهِ مِنْ حُرْمَتِهِ إِلاَّ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُّ نُصْرَتَهُ قَالَ يَحْيَى وَحَدَّثَنِيهِ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ وَعُقْبَةُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي مَغَالَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَأَبَا طَلْحَةَ بْنَ سَهْلٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّيْنِ يَقُولَانِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنَ امْرِئٍ يَخْذُلُ مُسْلِمًا فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُنْتَقَصُ فِيهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ وَيُنْتَهَكُ فِيهِ مِنْ حُرْمَتِهِ إِلَّا خَذَلَهُ اللهُ فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُّ فِيهِ نُصْرَتَهُ وَمَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَنْصُرُ مُسْلِمًا فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُنْتَقَصُ فِيهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ وَيُنْتَهَكُ فِيهِ مِنْ حُرْمَتِهِ إِلَّا نَصَرَهُ اللهُ فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُّ فِيهِ نُصْرَتَهُ»  

[Machine] On the authority of Yahya ibn Sulaim ibn Zaid, a freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , who reported that he heard Isma'il ibn Bashir, a freed slave of the Banu Mughalat tribe, say: I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah and Abu Talha ibn Sahl, both Ansar, say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever fails to support a Muslim in a place where his honor is belittled and his sanctity violated, Allah will abandon him in a place where he loves to be supported. And whoever supports a Muslim in a place where his honor is belittled and his sanctity violated, Allah will support him in a place where he loves to be supported." Then Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, and he heard from Abu al-Abbas al-Qasim ibn al-Qasim al-Sayyari, who heard from Abu al-Muwajjah, who heard from Abdan, who heard from Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak, who heard from Layth ibn Sa'd, who mentioned it in a similar manner.  

عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ مَوْلَى بَنَي مُغَالَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَأَبَا طَلْحَةَ بْنَ سَهْلٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّيْنِ يَقُولَانِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَخْذُلُ مُسْلِمًا فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُنْتَقَصُ فِيهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ وَيُنْتَهَكُ فِيهِ مِنْ حُرْمَتِهِ إِلَّا خَذَلَهُ اللهُ فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُ فِيهِ نُصْرَتَهُ وَمَا مِنِ امْرِئٍ يَنْصُرُ مُسْلِمًا فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُنْتَقَصُ فِيهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ وَيُنْتَهَكُ فِيهِ مِنْ حُرْمَتِهِ إِلَّا نَصَرَهُ اللهُ فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُّ فِيهِ نُصْرَتَهُ 16683 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ السَّيَّارِيُّ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُوَجِّهِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدَانُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ هُوَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَنْبَأَ لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ فَذَكَرَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ نَحْوَهُ  

"مَا مِنْ امْرِئ مُسْلِمٍ يَخْذُلُ امْرءا مُسْلِمًا في مَوْطِن يُنْتَقَصُ فيه مِن عِرْضه، وَيُنتَهَكُ فيه من حُرْمَتِه، إِلا خَذَله اللهُ في مَوْطِن يُحِبُّ فيه نُصْرَتَه وَمَا مِن أحَد يَنْصُرُ مُسْلِمًا في مَوْطِن يُنْتَقَصُ فيه مِن عِرضِهِ، وَينتَهَكُ فيه من حُرْمَتِه، إِلا نَصَرهُ الله في مَوْطِن يُحبُّ فيه نُصْرَتَه".
