Ibn 'Umar reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the preparation) of Nabidh in a green pitcher (besmeared with pitch) and in varnished jar.  

مسلم:١٩٩٧h – وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْجَرِّ وَالدُّبَّاءِ

'A'isha reported that Allah's Apostle ﷺ forbade (the preparation) of Nabidh in gourd and varnished jar. (Using translation from Muslim 1995b)   

أحمد:٥٨٣٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ بَكَّارٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُنْدَةَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ طَاوُسًا عَنِ الشَّرَابِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺنَهَى عَنِ الْجَرِّ وَالدُّبَّاءِ
