ahmad:13141Rawḥ > Ibn Jurayj And ʿAbd Allāh b. al-Ḥārith > Ibn Jurayj > Ziyād / Ibn Saʿd > Ibn Shihāb > Anas b. Mālik

Anas b. Malik reported that one day he saw on the finger of Messenger of Allah ﷺ a silver ring, and the people also made silver rings and put them on. Then Allah's Apostle ﷺ threw his ring away, and so the people also threw away their rings. (Using translation from Muslim 2093b)  

أحمد:١٣١٤١حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ

أخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ رَأَى فِي يَدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ يَوْمًا وَاحِدًا ثُمَّ إِنَّ النَّاسَ اضْطَرَبُوا الْخَوَاتِيمَ مِنْ وَرِقٍ وَلَبِسُوهَا فَطَرَحَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ خَاتَمَهُ فَطَرَحَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ

[Machine] I heard Anas ibn Malik say, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ eating, and in front of him was a soup containing a lizard, and he started to trace its movement before eating it."  

أحمد:١٣١٤٢حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا زُرَارَةُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحَلَالِ الْعَتَكِيُّ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْكُلُ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَقَةٌ فِيهَا دُبَّاءٌ فَجَعَلَ يَتَتَبَّعُهُ يَأْكُلُهُ

[Machine] I asked Anas ibn Malik, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dye his hair?" He said, "He never had a lot of gray hair to begin with, only a little. Abu Bakr and Umar used to dye their hair with henna and katam."  

أحمد:١٣١٤٣حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ هَلْ خَضَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ رَأَى يَعْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْبِ إِلَّا يَسِيرًا وَقَدْ خَضَبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ أَحْسِبُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Anjasha, this is how your journey will be with the ships."  

أحمد:١٣١٤٤حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا زُرَارَةُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحَلَالِ الْعَتَكِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا أَنْجَشَةُ كَذَاكَ سَيْرُكَ بِالْقَوَارِيرِ  

ahmad:13145Rawḥ > Saʿīd And ʿAbd al-Wahhāb > Saʿīd > Qatādahaʿan Anas b. Mālik > Qāʾil from al-Nās > Yā Nabī Allāh Amā Yarīd al-Dajjāl al-Madīnah

[Machine] "O Prophet of Allah, does the Dajjal (Antichrist) intend to enter the city?" He said, "Indeed, he will attempt to enter it, but he will find the angels standing in rows with their veils and doors guarding it against the Dajjal." Abdul Wahhab mentioned in his narration, Qatada narrated to us that Anas bin Malik reported that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Written between his eyes is the word 'Kaafir' (disbeliever), which every believer, literate or illiterate, will be able to read."  

أحمد:١٣١٤٥حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ قَائِلًا مِنَ النَّاسِ قَالَ

يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَمَا يَرِيدُ الدَّجَّالُ الْمَدِينَةَ؟ قَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيَعْمِدُ إِلَيْهَا وَلَكِنَّهُ يَجِدُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ صَافَّةً بِنِقَابِهَا وَأَبْوَابِهَا يَحْرُسُونَهَا مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ قَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ ك ف ر يُهَجَّاهُ يَقْرَؤُهُ كُلُّ مُؤْمِنٍ أُمِّيٍّ أَوْ كَاتِبٍ  

ahmad:13146Rawḥ > Ḥusayn al-Muʿallim > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik > Nabī Allāh ﷺ

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, none of you has believed until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself of goodness." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5017)   

أحمد:١٣١٤٦حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا يُؤْمِنُ عَبْدٌ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لِأَخِيهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ مِنَالْخَيْرِ  

ahmad:13147Rawḥ > Shuʿbah > Mūsá b. Anas > Anas b. Mālik

Messenger of Allah, who is my father? And he said: Your father is so and so, and there was revealed this verse:" Do not ask about matters which, if they were to be made manifest to you, might cause you harm" (v. 101). (Using translation from Muslim 2359b)  

أحمد:١٣١٤٧حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ أَنَسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ

رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ أَبِي؟ قَالَ أَبُوكَ فُلَانٌ فَنَزَلَتْ {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَسْأَلُوا عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ إِنْ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ} [المائدة 101] إِلَى تَمَامِ الْآيَةَ

[Machine] "That once Uqaydirah presented a silk cloak or robe to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Sa'id doubted its quality before he forbade the use of silk. So the Prophet ﷺ wore it, and people admired it. He said, 'By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the handkerchiefs of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in Paradise are even better than it.'"  

أحمد:١٣١٤٨حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ أُكَيْدِرَ دُومَةَ أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ جُبَّةَ سُنْدُسٍ أَوْ دِيبَاجٍ شَكَّ فِيهِ سَعِيدٌ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْهَى عَنِالْحَرِيرِ فَلَبِسَهَا فَتَعَجَّبَ النَّاسُ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهَا

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, between his eyes is written 'K F R' (disbeliever), which the believer, whether literate or illiterate, can read."  

أحمد:١٣١٤٩حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أَنْبَأَهُمْ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ مَكْتُوبٌ ك ف ر أَيْ كَافِرٌ يَقْرَؤُهَا الْمُؤْمِنُ أُمِّيٌّ وَكَاتِبٌ  

ahmad:13150Rawḥ > Ashʿath > al-Ḥasan > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] He said, "I have not prayed behind anyone after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , who has performed a prayer that is more concise or complete than the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."  

أحمد:١٣١٥٠حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَا صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺأَوْجَزَ صَلَاةً وَلَا أَتَمَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

[Machine] The Prophet said, "None of you will truly believe until Allah and His Messenger are dearer to him than anything else, until he loves being thrown into the fire rather than renouncing his faith after Allah has saved him from it, and until he loves me more than his own children, parents, and all the people."  

أحمد:١٣١٥١حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يَكُونَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سِوَاهُمَا وَحَتَّى يُقْذَفَ فِي النَّارِ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَعُودَ فِي الْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ نَجَّاهُ اللهُ مِنْهُ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ وَوَالِدِهِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ

[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ with a similar example.  

أحمد:١٣١٥٢حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَنْصُورًا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ طَلْقَ بْنَ حَبِيبٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِهِ  

ahmad:13153Rawḥ > Ashʿath > al-Ḥasan > Anas b. Mālik

The Prophet ﷺ offered the noon prayer, and then rode on his mount. When he came to the hill of al-Bayda', he raised his voice in talbiyah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1774)  

أحمد:١٣١٥٣حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ رَكِبَ رَاحِلَتَهُ فَلَمَّا عَلَا جَبَلَ الْبَيْدَاءِ أَهَلَّ  

ahmad:13154Yūnus b. Muḥammad > Shaybān > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

That the Meccan people requested Messenger of Allah ﷺ to show them a miracle, and so he showed them the splitting of the moon. (Using translation from Bukhārī 3637)  

أحمد:١٣١٥٤حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ سَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُرِيَهُمْ آيَةً فَأَرَاهُمْ انْشِقَاقَ الْقَمَرِ مَرَّتَيْنِ  

ahmad:13155Yūnus > Shaybān > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik > Nabī Allāh ﷺ

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Indeed, in Paradise there is a tree that a rider can travel under its shade for a hundred years without reaching its end."  

أحمد:١٣١٥٥حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَشَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ عَامٍ لَا يَقْطَعُهَا  

ahmad:13156Yūnus > Shaybān > Qatādah > Ḥaddath Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: While I was walking in Paradise, a river appeared to me, lined with hollow pearls. I said, 'What is this, O Jibril?' He replied, 'This is Al-Kawthar, which your Lord has given to you.' He then scooped some musk from its clay and presented it to me."  

أحمد:١٣١٥٦حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ بَيْنَا أَنَا أَسِيرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ إِذْ عَرَضَ لِي نَهَرٌ حَافَّتَاهُ قِبَابُ اللُّؤْلُؤِ الْمُجَوَّفِ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا يَا جِبْرِيلُ؟ قَالَ هَذَا الْكَوْثَرُ الَّذِي أَعْطَاكَ رَبُّكَ قَالَ فَأَهْوَى الْمَلَكُ بِيَدِهِ فَأَخْرَجَ مِنْ طِينِهِ مِسْكًا أَذْفَرَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ walked until he reached a mosque nearby. A sheikh or a man approached him and said, "When is the hour, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "What have you prepared for it?" The man said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, I have not prepared a lot of prayers or fasting for it, but I love Allah and His Messenger." He replied, "Then you will be with those whom you love."  

أحمد:١٣١٥٧حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

أَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْشِي حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ قَرِيبًا مِنْهُ قَالَ أَتَاهُ شَيْخٌ أَوْ رَجُلٌ قَالَ مَتَى السَّاعَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا؟ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا مِنْ كَثِيرِ صَلَاةٍ وَلَا صِيَامٍ وَلَكِنِّي أُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ قَالَ فَأَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْأَحْبَبْتَ

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ observed fasting for twenty days.  

أحمد:١٣١٥٨حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ shouted at both of them or responded to both of them.  

أحمد:١٣١٥٩حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَرَخَ بِهِمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ لَبَّى بِهِمَا جَمِيعًا  

ahmad:13160Rawḥ And ʿAffān al-Maʿná > Ḥammād > Thābit > Anas b. Mālik > Fatá from al-Anṣār

Anas bin Malik said “A youth of Aslam said “Apostle of Allaah ﷺ, I wish to go on an expedition, but I have no property to make myself equipped. He said “go to so and so Ansari who prepared equipment(for the battle), but he fell ill and tell him that the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ has conveyed his regards to you, and then tell him “Give him all the equipment you have made. He came to him and told him that. He said to his wife “O so and so, give him all the equipment I have made and do not detain anything from him. I swear by Allaah, if you detain anything from him, Allaah will not bless it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2780)   

أحمد:١٣١٦٠حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ وَعَفَّانُ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ فَتًى مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْجِهَادَ وَلَيْسَ لِي مَالٌ أَتَجَهَّزُ بِهِ فَقَالَ اذْهَبْ إِلَى فُلَانٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ تَجَهَّزَ وَمَرِضَ فَقُلْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُقْرِئُكَ السَّلَامَ وَيَقُولُ لَكَ ادْفَعْ إِلَيَّ مَا تَجَهَّزْتَ بِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ يَا فُلَانَةُ ادْفَعِي إِلَيْهِ مَا جَهَّزْتِنِي بِهِ وَلَا تَحْبِسِي عَنْهُ شَيْئًا فَإِنَّكِ وَاللهِ إِنْ حَبَسْتِ عَنْهُ شَيْئًا لَا يُبَارَكُ لَكِ فِيهِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ إِنَّ فَتًى مِنْ أَسْلَمَ  

ahmad:13161Rawḥ And ʿAffān > Ḥammād > Thābitʿan Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ that he said: A morning spent in the cause of Allah or an afternoon spent in the cause of Allah is better than the world and everything in it. And the handle of one of you from Paradise is better than the world and everything in it."  

أحمد:١٣١٦١حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا  

ahmad:13162Rawḥ And ʿAffān > Ḥammād > Thābit > Anas

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A man from the people of Jannah will be brought forward and will be asked, 'O son of Adam, how did you find your abode?' He will reply, 'O Lord, it is the best abode.' He will be asked, 'Ask and wish for anything.' He will reply, 'I do not ask or wish for anything except that You send me back to the world so that I may be killed in Your cause ten times, because of what I see from the blessings of martyrdom.' Then, a man from the people of Hellfire will be brought forward and will be asked, 'O son of Adam, how did you find your abode?' He will reply, 'O Lord, it is the worst abode.' He will be asked, 'Did you ever experience even a single moment of pleasure in the world?' He will reply, 'O Lord, no.' And then Allah will say, 'Indeed, you lied. You have been asked about something even simpler than that, and you did not answer truthfully.' So he will be sent back to the Fire."  

أحمد:١٣١٦٢حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُؤْتَى بِالرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَقُولُ لَهُ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ كَيْفَ وَجَدْتَ مَنْزِلَكَ؟ فَيَقُولُ أَيْ رَبِّ خَيْرُ مَنْزِلٍ فَيَقُولُ سَلْ وَتَمَنَّ فَيَقُولُ مَا أَسْأَلُ وَأَتَمَنَّى إِلَّا أَنْ تَرُدَّنِي إِلَى الدُّنْيَا فَأُقْتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِكَ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ لِمَا يَرَى مِنْ فَضْلِ الشَّهَادَةِ وَيُؤْتَى بِالرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَيَقُولُ لَهُ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ كَيْفَ وَجَدْتَ مَنْزِلَكَ؟ فَيَقُولُ أَيْ رَبِّ شَرُّ مَنْزِلٍ فَيَقُولُ لَهُ أَتَفْتَدِي مِنْهُ بِطِلَاعِ الْأَرْضِ ذَهَبًا؟ فَيَقُولُ أَيْ رَبِّ نَعَمْ فَيَقُولُ كَذَبْتَ قَدْ سَأَلْتُكَ أَقَلَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَأَيْسَرَ فَلَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَيُرَدُّ إِلَى النَّارِ  

ahmad:13163Rawḥ > Shuʿbah > Thābit > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] To say in his supplication: "O Allah, give us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." Shu'bah said: So I said to Thabit, narrating from the Prophet ﷺ , he said: Yes.  

أحمد:١٣١٦٣حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ يُكْثِرُ

أَنْ يَقُولَ فِي دُعَائِهِ اللهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَقُلْتُ لِثَابِتٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ نَعَمْ  

ahmad:13164Rawḥ > Hishām > Muḥammad > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ threw the jamrah, then he sacrificed the animals. The barber was sitting, and then he said to the barber and described Hisham, and placed his hand on his temple. He shaved one side of his right temple and distributed it among the people, and shaved the other side and gave it to Abu Talha.  

أحمد:١٣١٦٤حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ ثُمَّ نَحَرَ الْبُدْنَ وَالْحَجَّامُ جَالِسٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلْحَجَّامِ وَوَصَفَ هِشَامٌ ذَلِكَوَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى ذُؤَابَتِهِ فَحَلَقَ أَحَدَ شِقَّيْهِ الْأَيْمَنَ وَقَسَمَهُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَحَلَقَ الْآخَرَ فَأَعْطَاهُ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ  

ahmad:13165Rawḥ > Shuʿbah > Thābit al-Bunānī > Anas b. Mālik

The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you should wish for death because of a calamity befalling him; but if he has to wish for death, he should say: "O Allah! Keep me alive as long as life is better for me, and let me die if death is better for me.' " (Using translation from Bukhārī 5671)  

أحمد:١٣١٦٥حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ثَابِتًا الْبُنَانِيَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يَتَمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ مِنْ ضُرٍّ أَصَابَهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَلْيَقُلْ اللهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا كَانَتِ الْوَفَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي

[Machine] "He said that he was afflicted with harm."  

أحمد:١٣١٦٦حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ زَيْدٍ وَعَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَا سَمِعْنَا أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ بِمِثْلِهِ إِلَّا

أَنَّهُ قَالَ مِنْ ضُرٍّ نَزَلَ بِهِ  

ahmad:13167Rawḥ > Shuʿbah > Manṣūr > Sālim b. Abū al-Jaʿd > Anas b. Mālik

A man asked the Prophet ﷺ "When will the Hour be established O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" The Prophet ﷺ . said, "What have you prepared for it?" The man said, " I haven't prepared for it much of prayers or fast or alms, but I love Allah and His Apostle." The Prophet ﷺ said, "You will be with those whom you love." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6171)  

أحمد:١٣١٦٧حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَنْصُورًا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَتَى السَّاعَةُ؟ فَقَالَ مَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا؟ قَالَ مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا مِنْ كَثِيرِ صِيَامٍ وَلَا صَلَاةٍ وَلَا صَدَقَةٍ وَلَكِنِّي أُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ قَالَ أَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ  

ahmad:13168Rawḥ > ʿUthmān b. Saʿd > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] I heard Anas bin Malik saying, "I do not know anything that I witnessed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ today." Abu Rafi' said, "O Abu Hamzah, not even the prayer?" Anas said, "Did you not know what Al-Hajjaj did in the prayer?"  

أحمد:١٣١٦٨حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ مَا أَعْرِفُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا عَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْيَوْمَ فَقَالَ أَبُو رَافِعٍ يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ وَلَا الصَّلَاةَ؟ فَقَالَ أَوَلَيْسَ قَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ مَا صَنَعَ الْحَجَّاجُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ  

ahmad:13169Rawḥ And ʿAbd al-Ṣamad > Hishām b. Abū ʿAbdullāh > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] He walked to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with barley bread and a bunch of dates. He had pledged his shield with a Jew, so he took some barley for his family. I heard him saying one day that Abdul Samad said, "This is repeated every evening: There is no suhur with the family of Muhammad a sa'a of wheat or barley, and he had nine wives at that time."  

أحمد:١٣١٦٩حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّهُ مَشَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِخُبْزِ شَعِيرٍ وَإِهَالَةٍ سَنِخَةٍ وَلَقَدْ رَهَنَ دِرْعَهُ لَهُ عِنْدَ يَهُودِيٍّ فَأَخَذَ شَعِيرًا لِأَهْلِهِ وَلَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ مِرَارًا مَا أَمْسَى عِنْدَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَاعُ بُرٍّ وَلَا صَاعُ حَبٍّ وَإِنَّ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعَ نِسْوَةٍ حِينَئِذٍ  

ahmad:13170Rawḥ > Shuʿbah > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Every prophet has a supplication that he called upon his nation with, and indeed I have hidden my supplication as an intercession for my nation."  

أحمد:١٣١٧٠حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ دَعْوَةً قَدْ دَعَا بِهَا فِي أُمَّتِهِ وَإِنِّي اخْتَبَأْتُ دَعْوَتِي شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي  

ahmad:13171Rawḥ > Hishām b. Abū ʿAbdullāh > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik > Nabī Allāh ﷺ

[Machine] "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said: Some people will be struck by the fire as a punishment for the sins they have committed, then Allah will admit them into Paradise by His mercy. They will be known as the Hell-dwellers."  

أحمد:١٣١٧١حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَيُصِيبَنَّ نَاسًا سَفْعٌ مِنَ النَّارِ عُقُوبَةً بِذُنُوبٍ عَمِلُوهَا ثُمَّ لَيُدْخِلُهُمُ اللهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِفَضْلِ رَحْمَتِهِ يُقَالُ لَهُمُ الْجَهَنَّمِيُّونَ  

ahmad:13172Rawḥ > Hishām b. Abū ʿAbdullāh > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

" O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from incapacity, from indolence, from cowardice, from senility, from miserliness, and I seek refuge in Thee from the torment of the grave and from trial of the life and death." (Using translation from Muslim 2706a)   

أحمد:١٣١٧٢حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي دُعَائِهِ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَفِتْنَةِ الْمَمَاتِ  

ahmad:13173Ḥujayn b. al-Muthanná > Isrāʾīl > Abū Isḥāq > Burayd b. Abū Maryam > Anas b. Mālik

“Whoever asks for Paradise, three times, Paradise will say: “O Allah, admit him to Paradise.” And whoever asked to be saved from Hell, three times, Hell will say: “O Allah, save him from Hell.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4340)   

أحمد:١٣١٧٣حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ سَأَلَ اللهَ الْجَنَّةَ ثَلَاثًا قَالَتِ الْجَنَّةُ اللهُمَّ أَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَنْ اسْتَعَاذَ بِاللهِ مِنَ النَّارِ ثَلَاثًا قَالَتِ النَّارُ اللهُمَّ أَعِذْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ  

ahmad:13174Rawḥ > Ḥammād > Thābit > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to fast until it was said that he had fasted, and he would break his fast until it was said that he had broken his fast.  

أحمد:١٣١٧٤حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى يُقَالَ وقَدْ صَامَ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى يُقَالَ قَدْ أَفْطَرَ  

ahmad:13175Rawḥ > Shuʿbah > Abū al-Tayyāḥ > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Make things easy and do not make them difficult, and calm (others) down and do not make them run away."  

أحمد:١٣١٧٥حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا التَّيَّاحِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَسِّرُوا وَلَا تُعَسِّرُوا وَسَكِّنُوا وَلَا تُنَفِّرُوا  

ahmad:13176Rawḥ > Jarīr b. Ḥāzim > Salm al-ʿAlawī > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] "I used to serve the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I would enter upon him without permission. One day, I entered upon him and he said, 'O my son, something has happened, so do not enter upon me except with permission.'"  

أحمد:١٣١٧٦حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَلْمٍ الْعَلَوِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ أَخْدُمُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَكُنْتُ أَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهِ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ فَجِئْتُ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّهُ قَدْ حَدَثَ أَمْرٌ فَلَا تَدْخُلْ عَلَيَّ إِلَّا بِإِذْنٍ  

ahmad:13177Rawḥ And ʿAbd al-Wahhāb > Saʿīd > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If I were gifted a goat, I would accept it, and if I were invited by Abdul Wahhab, I would respond, and if Rooh were called, I would answer."  

أحمد:١٣١٧٧حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ أُهْدِيَ إِلَيَّ كُرَاعٌ لَقَبِلْتُ وَلَوْ دُعِيتُ قَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ إِلَيْهِ وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ عَلَيْهِ لَأَجَبْتُ  

ahmad:13178Rawḥ > Ḥammād > Thābit > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] "From the Prophet ﷺ regarding his saying: "And when his Lord manifested His presence to the mountain" [Quran 7:143], he said: Then he gestured with his little finger and said: mold."  

أحمد:١٣١٧٨حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي قَوْلِهِ ﷻ {فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّى رَبُّهُ لِلْجَبَلِ} [الأعراف 143] قَالَ فَأَوْمَأَ بِخِنْصَرِهِ قَالَ فَسَاخَ  

ahmad:13179Rawḥ > Shuʿbah > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

Abu Huraira reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying. Don't nurse malice against one another, don't nurse aversion against one another and don't be inquisitive about one another and don't outbid one another (with a view to raising the price) and be fellow-brothers and servants of Allah. (Using translation from Muslim 2563c)   

أحمد:١٣١٧٩حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَقَاطَعُوا وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللهِ إِخْوَانًا  

ahmad:13180Rawḥ > Ibn Jurayj And Zakariyyā b. Isḥāq > Ibn Shihāb > Anas b. Mālik

"Do not cut off one another, nor desert one another, nor hate one another, nor envy one another. Be you , O worshippers o Allah, brothers. It is not lawful for the Muslim to shun his brother for more than three(days)." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1935)   

أحمد:١٣١٨٠حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَزَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَقَاطَعُوا وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا وَلَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثِ لَيَالٍ  

ahmad:13181al-Ḍaḥḥāk b. Makhlad > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. And Rdān Madīnī

[Machine] Did you pray Asr (afternoon prayer)? They answered yes. We asked, "Tell us, may Allah rectify you, when did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray this prayer?" He said, "He used to pray it when the sun was pure white."  

أحمد:١٣١٨١حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ مَدِينِيٌّ قَالَ دَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فِي رَهْطٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ

صَلَّيْتُمْ يَعْنِي الْعَصْرَ ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قُلْنَا أَخْبِرْنَا أَصْلَحَكَ اللهُ مَتَى كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ؟ قَالَ كَانَ يُصَلِّيهَا وَالشَّمْسُ بَيْضَاءُ نَقِيَّةٌ  

ahmad:13182al-Ḍaḥḥāk b. Makhlad > Saʿīd b. Abū ʿArūbah > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Spitting in the mosque is a sin and its expiation is to bury it."  

أحمد:١٣١٨٢حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ النُّخَاعَةُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَطِيئَةٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا  

ahmad:13183ʿUthmān b. ʿUmar > Yūnus > al-Zuhrī > Anas

‘Muhammad Rasul Allah’ (Muhammad the Messenger of Allah).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3641)  

أحمد:١٣١٨٣حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ لَهُ فَصٌّ حَبَشِيٌّ وَنَقَشَهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ  

ahmad:13184ʿUthmān b. ʿUmar > Shuʿbah > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. Jabr > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] I heard Anas ibn Malik saying, "If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to take a bath, the woman from his wives would use the same vessel."  

أحمد:١٣١٨٤حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ إِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيَغْتَسِلُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ الْوَاحِدِ

[Machine] "Yes, and who is better than Umar, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , after the bowing."  

أحمد:١٣١٨٥حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ خَالِدٍ يَعْنِي الْحَذَّاءَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ هَلْ قَنَتَ عُمَرُ؟ قَالَ

نَعَمْ وَمَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ عُمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ  

ahmad:13186Sulaymān b. Dāwud > Shuʿbah > Thābit > Anas

[Machine] I heard Anas saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to frequently supplicate, saying, "O Allah, grant us goodness in this world, and goodness in the hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Hellfire."  

أحمد:١٣١٨٦حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ يَقُولُ اللهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his hands in prayer until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen. I mentioned this to Ali ibn Zaid and he said, "That is only in the dua for rain." I asked, "Did you hear it from Anas?" He said, "Exalted is Allah." I asked, "Did you hear it from him?" He said, "Exalted is Allah."  

أحمد:١٣١٨٧حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ سَمِعَ أَنَسًا قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبِطَيْهِ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا ذَاكَ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَسَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ؟ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَسَمِعْتَهُ مِنْهُ؟ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ was brought a silk garment, so they started touching it and looking at it. He said, 'Are you amazed at this? The handkerchief of Sa'd or the handkerchief of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in Paradise is better than this or softer than this.'"  

أحمد:١٣١٨٨حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِثَوْبٍ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلُوا يَمَسُّونَهُ وَيَنْظُرُونَ فَقَالَ أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ هَذَا لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدٍ أَوْ مِنْدِيلُسَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ هَذَا أَوْ أَلْيَنُ مِنْ هَذَا  

ahmad:13189Sulaymān > Shuʿbah > Ḥammād And ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Rufayʿ Waʿattāb a freed slave of Hurmuz Warābiʿ Ayḍ Samiʿūā Anas

‘Whoever lies upon me intentionally, then let him take his seat in the Fire’. (Using translation from Muslim 3)  

أحمد:١٣١٨٩حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ وَعَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ وَعَتَّابٍ مَوْلَى هُرْمُزَ وَرَابِعٍ أَيْضًا سَمِعُوا أَنَسًا يُحَدِّثُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ أَبِي كَذَا قَالَ لَنَا أَخْطَأَ فِيهِ وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ  

ahmad:13190Sulaymān And ʾAbū Saʿīd / a freed slave of Banī Hāshim > Shuʿbah > Mūsá b. Anas > Anas

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If you knew that which I know, you would laugh little and weep much." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6486)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا
