[Machine] We heard from the Prophet ﷺ as he came out to us and said, "What are you writing?" We replied, "What we hear from you." He said, "Are you writing something along with the Book of Allah?" We said, "We write what we hear." He said, "Is it writing other than the Book of Allah? Erase the writing of Allah and preserve it." So we gathered what we had written on a single sheet and burned it with fire. We said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, are you speaking about yourself?" He said, "Yes, speak about me without hesitation. And whoever intentionally lies about me, let him secure his place in the Hellfire." We said, "O Messenger of Allah, are you speaking about the Children of Israel?" He said, "Yes, speak about the Children of Israel without hesitation, for surely you do not mention anything about them except that there is something more astonishing than it."

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade Ishtimal-As-Samma' (wrapping one's body with a garment so that one cannot raise its end or take one's hand out of it). He also forbade Al-Ihtiba' (sitting on buttocks with knees close to ʿAbdomen and feet apart with the hands circling the knees) while wrapping oneself with a single garment, without having a part of it over the private parts. (Using translation from Bukhārī 367)

ahmad:11095Rawḥ > Saʿīd > Qatādah > Abū al-Mutawakkil al-Nājī > Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The believers will be saved from the fire on the Day of Judgment and they will be made to stand on a bridge between Paradise and the fire. They will seek justice for the wrongs committed against each other in the world until they are purified and cleansed. Then, they will be permitted to enter Paradise. By the One in whose hand is my soul, each of them will grant a better place in Paradise to their companion than their own place in the world."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A man entered Paradise for the good he had never done before. When death approached him, he said to his family, 'When I die, burn me, then crush me, and scatter half of me in the sea and half on land.' Then Allah commanded the land and the sea to collect his remains. Then He asked, 'What made you do what you did?' He replied, 'Out of fear and awe of You.' Allah forgave him because of this."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Paradise and Hellfire had a conversation. The Hellfire said, 'O Lord, admit into me the proud, mighty, kings and nobles.' And Paradise said, 'O Lord, admit into me the weak, poor, and needy.' Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, said to Hellfire, 'You are My punishment, I will fill you with whomever I will.' And He said to Paradise, 'You are My mercy, and its provisions are plentiful and spacious.' Then Hellfire will be filled with its inhabitants and it will ask, 'Is there any more?' It will be filled again and it will ask, 'Is there any more?' It will be filled a third time and it will ask, 'Is there any more?' Until Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, places His foot over it and it will shrink, saying, 'Enough, enough!' As for Paradise, its inhabitants will remain as long as Allah wills, and Allah will create for it whatever He wills."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The easiest punishment of the people of Hell is for a man to have two sandals from which his brains boil, and there are others in Hell whose punishment extends from their feet to their knees, and there are others who are submerged in Hellfire up to their ankles while suffering from punishment, and there are those who are submerged in Hellfire up to their shins while suffering from punishment, and there are those who are submerged in Hellfire up to their waist while suffering from punishment, and there are those who are submerged in Hellfire up to their chest while suffering from punishment, and there are those who are completely submerged in Hellfire." 'Affan said, "May Allah protect us from the punishment while suffering from it."

"Whichever believer feeds a hungry believer , Allah feeds him from the fruits of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection. [Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , took my hand and said, "O Abu Sa'id, there are three things. Whoever says them will enter Paradise." I asked, "What are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Whoever is pleased with Allah as the Lord, Islam as the religion, and Muhammad as the Messenger. And the fourth one, which is greater in virtue than the distance between the heavens and the Earth, is striving in the way of Allah."

He said, "Do you have any trouble looking at the sun when there are no clouds?" We said, "No." He said, "Then how about looking at the moon on a full moon night when there are no clouds?" We said, "No." He said, "Indeed, you will see your Lord in a similar manner on the Day of Resurrection. Allah will gather people on the Day of Resurrection in one plain." He said, "Then it will be said, 'Whoever used to worship something, let him follow it.' So those who used to worship the sun will fall into the fire, and those who used to worship the moon will fall into the fire, and those who used to worship idols will fall into the fire." He said, "And everyone who used to worship anything besides Allah, until they fall into the fire." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then only the believers and their hypocrites will remain, between their shoulders, and a few of the People of the Book. Allah will make them insignificant with His hand. Then Allah will come to them and say, 'Are you not following what you used to worship?' They will say, 'We used to worship Allah and we did not see Him.' Then a part of His leg will be uncovered, and no one who used to prostrate to Allah out of sincerity will remain, except that he will fall prostrate. And no one who used to prostrate for showing off and for reputation will remain, except that he will fall on his nose." He said, "Then the Sirat (bridge) will be placed between Hellfire and the people. The Prophets will be on one side and the people will be on the other side. They will say, 'O Allah, grant safety, grant safety.' It is said to them, 'Look, who among you used to have a dinar's weight of faith in his heart?' They will say, 'We used to fight and strive in battles against the enemy, and we used to perform Hajj and Umrah.' It will be said, 'But you bring them the easement.' Then Allah will say, 'Look, who among you used to have a weight of a dirham of faith in his heart?' They will say, 'We used to enjoin good and forbid evil, and we used to give charity.' It will be said, 'But you bring them the easement.' Then Allah will say, 'Look, who among you used to have a weight of a mustard seed of faith in his heart?' They will say, 'We would say, 'La ilaha illa Allah' (there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah).' It will be said, 'But you bring them the easement.' Abu Sa'id said, 'Between me and you is the Book of Allah.' And I think he meant the statement of Allah, 'And if there is even the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant.' (Quran 21:47)." He said, "Then they will be brought out of the Fire and will be thrown into a river called Al-Hayawan (Animal River), and they will grow like the growing of a seed in a flood. Do you not see that whatever comes out of the earth to the sun is green? And whatever comes out of the earth to the shade is yellow?" They said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is as if you are a shepherd." He said, "Yes, I am like a shepherd.”

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Hearts are of four types: a heart that is pure like a lamp that shines brightly, a heart that is enclosed within a sheath, a heart that is inverted, and a heart that is hypocritical. As for the pure heart, it is the heart of a believer, and its light is his guidance. As for the heart that is enclosed within a sheath, it is the heart of a disbeliever. As for the inverted heart, it is the heart of a hypocrite that recognizes the truth but denies it. And as for the hypocritical heart, it is a heart that contains both belief and hypocrisy. The example of belief in it is like a fresh green pea, irrigated by pure water, while the example of hypocrisy in it is like a sore that exudes pus and blood. So, which of the two will overcome the other, will dominate it."

ahmad:11131Abū al-Naḍr > Muḥammad / Ibn Ṭalḥah > al-Aʿmash

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "I am soon to be called and I will respond. I am leaving among you two weighty things, the Book of Allah ﷻ and my family, my household. The Book of Allah is a stretched out rope from the sky to the earth, and my family is my household. And indeed, the All-Loving, the All-Knowing has informed me that they will never separate until they meet me at the pond. So, look at how you will treat them after me."

ahmad:11132ʿAbd al-Malik b. ʿAmr > ʿAlī b. ʿAlī > Abū al-Mutawakkil > Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ grabbed a hold of something with his hand, then he grabbed another thing to his side, then he grabbed a third thing and pushed it away. Then he said, "Do you know what this is?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "This is man, and this is his lifespan, and this is his hope. He deals with hope and lifespan, and anything beyond that is uncertain."

Acceptance of duʿāʾ and why it don't seem to be answered immediately

ahmad:11133Abū ʿĀmir > ʿAlī > Abū al-Mutawakkil > Abū Saʿīd

that the Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no Muslim who calls upon Allah, without sin or cutting family ties, but that Allah will give him one of three answers: (1) He will quickly fulfill his supplication, (2) He will store it for him in the Hereafter, or (3) He will divert an evil from him similar to it.”

They said, “In that case we will ask for more.” The Prophet said, “Allah has even more.”

ahmad:11134Abū ʿĀmir > Fulayḥ > Sālim Abū al-Naḍr > Busr b. Saʿīd > Abū Saʿīd

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed the people and said, "Indeed, Allah ﷻ has chosen a servant between the worldly life and what he possesses." He said, "So, this servant chose what is with Allah." Abu Bakr cried, and we were amazed at his crying, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ informed us about a servant who was chosen, while he was the chosen one. And Abu Bakr was the most knowledgeable among us about him. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, if I were to take a close friend from the people other than my Lord, I would have taken Abu Bakr. But the brotherhood of Islam and his love for it has no door left open in the masjid, except for the door of Abu Bakr."
