[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: "Indeed, a person may speak a word that makes those present laugh, and he may enjoy it even more than farthest stars."  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُبِالْكَلِمَةِ يُضْحِكُ بِهَا جُلَسَاءَهُ يَهْوِي بِهَا مِنْ أَبْعَدِ مِنَ الثُّرَيَّا  

"No sadaqah is due on less than five Awaq, no Sadaqah is due on less than five Dhawd, no Sadaqah is due on less than five Awsuq." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2487)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَا فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَا فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ صَدَقَةٌ  

the Messenger of Allah forbade artificially inflating prices, meeting traders on the way, and for a town-dweller to sell for a desert-dweller." (Sahih ) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4497)   

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ التَّلَقِّي وَأَنْ يَبِيعَ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ  

"The Messenger of Allah said: "The best of charity is that which is given when you are self-sufficient, and start with those for whom you are responsible."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2544)   

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ  

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A pious slave gets a double reward." Abu Huraira added: By Him in Whose Hands my soul is but for Jihad (i.e. holy battles), Hajj, and my duty to serve my mother, I would have loved to die as a slave. (Using translation from Bukhārī 2548)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِلْعَبْدِ الْمَمْلُوكِ الْمُصْلِحِ أَجْرَانِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِيَدِهِ لَوْلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَالْحَجُّ وَبِرُّ أُمِّي لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَمُوتَ وَأَنَا مَمْلُوكٌ  

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ who said: "Fasting is a shield and a fortress, protecting from the Hellfire."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ وَحِصْنٌ حَصِينٌ مِنَ النَّارِ  

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'A Hadd punishment that is carried out on earth is better for the people of earth than if it were to rain for thirty mornings."' (Daif) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4904)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَدٌّ يُعْمَلُ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَيْرٌ لِأَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ مِنْ أَنْ يُمْطَرُوا ثَلَاثِينَ صَبَاحًا  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The trunk of a lamb is better than the master of a goat."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْجَذَعُ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ السَّيِّدِ مِنَ الْمَعْزِ  

[Machine] The following passage translates to: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade throwing stones at an animal and then eating it, but it should be slaughtered first and then they may throw stones at it if they wish."  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الرَّمِيَّةِ أَنْ تُرْمَى الدَّابَّةُ ثُمَّ تُؤْكَلَ وَلَكِنْ تُذْبَحُ ثُمَّ لْيَرْمُوا إِنْ شَاءُوا  

An ant stung a prophet. He ordered a colony of ants to be burned. Allah revealed to him : because an ant stung you, you have perished a community which glorifies Me. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5266)   

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَرَصَتْ نَمْلَةٌ نَبِيًّا مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ فَأَمَرَ بِقَرْيَةِ النَّمْلِ فَأُحْرِقَتْ فَأَوْحَى الله ﷻ إِلَيْهِ فِي أَنْ قَرَصَتْكَ نَمْلَةٌ أَهْلَكْتَ أُمَّةً مِنَ الْأُمَمِ تُسَبِّحُ  

[Machine] "Abu Hurayrah said to a man who came to him, 'I bid you farewell as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bid me farewell, or as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bid farewell. I entrust you to Allah, who does not lose His deposits.'"  

أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ لِرَجُلٍ تَعَالَ أُوَدِّعْكَ كَمَا وَدَّعَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْ كَمَا وَدَّعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اسْتَوْدَعْتُكَ اللهَ الَّذِي لَا يُضَيِّعُ وَدَائِعَهُ  

[Machine] "We heard him say, 'No one was more knowledgeable about the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than me, except for Abdullah bin Amr. For he used to write with his own hand and memorize with his heart, while I would memorize with my heart and not write with my hand. And he sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to narrate from him, and he granted him permission.'"  

سَمِعْنَاهُ يَقُولُ مَا كَانَ أَحَدٌ أَعْلَمَ بِحَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنِّي إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْتُبُ بِيَدِهِ وَيَعِيهِ بِقَلْبِهِ وَكُنْتُ أَعِيهِ بِقَلْبِي وَلَا أَكْتُبُ بِيَدِي وَاسْتَأْذَنَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْكِتَابِ عَنْهُ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ  

"No sadaqah is due on less than five Awaq, no Sadaqah is due on less than five Dhawd, no Sadaqah is due on less than five Awsuq." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2487)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ صَدَقَةٌ  

[Machine] To the Messenger of Allah, may peace and blessings be upon him, I asked, "Shall I not teach you a word from the treasures of Paradise?" He said, "Yes, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you." I said, "Tell me." He replied, "Say, 'There is no power or strength except with Allah.'"  

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَةً مِنْ كَنْزِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي قَالَ قُلْ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah does not bestow a favor upon a servant except that he loves to see its effects on him."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أَنْعَمَ اللهُ عَلَى عَبْدٍ نِعْمَةً إِلَّا وَهُوَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرَى أَثَرَهَا عَلَيْهِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I not inform you about your best among you?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "The best of you are those with the longest lives and the best in manners."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِخِيَارِكُمْ؟ قَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ خِيَارُكُمْ أَطْوَلُكُمْ أَعْمَارًا وَأَحْسَنُكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the receiving of usurious gain. So if a buyer acquires a merchandise, the seller should deal with the best of options when it comes to the market.  

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُتَلَقَّى الْجَلَبُفَإِنِ ابْتَاعَ مُبْتَاعٌ فَصَاحِبُ السِّلْعَةِ بِالْخِيَارِ إِذَا وَرَدَتِ السُّوقَ  

[Machine] I heard Abu Al-Qasim, ﷺ , saying, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, there will come out men from the city out of desire and the city is better for them if they only knew."  

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَيَخْرُجَنَّ رِجَالٌ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ  

"When any one of you wakes from sleep, let him not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it three times, because he does not know where his hand spent the night." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 161)   

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ فَلْيُفْرِغْ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُمَا فِي الْإِنَاءِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِيمَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ  

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying on Friday: "There is an hour during which no Muslim slave makes a request to Allah except that it will be granted to him."  

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةٌ لَا يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ إِلَّا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to emigrate. He said, "I prayed and then came and sat to him. He said, 'O Abu Huraira, are you feeling pain?' I said, 'No, O Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'Pray, for indeed in prayer there is healing.'  

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُهَجِّرُ قَالَ فَصَلَّيْتُ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ اشكمت درد؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ صَلِّ فَإِنَّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ شِفَاءً  

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abraham did not tell a lie except on three occasions." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3357)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَكْذِبْ إِبْرَاهِيمُ إِلَّا ثَلَاثَ كَذِبَاتٍ قَوْلُهُ حِينَ دُعِيَ إِلَى آلِهَتِهِمْ {إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ} [الصافات 89] وَقَوْلُهُ {فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَذَا} [الأنبياء 63] وَقَوْلُهُ لِسَارَةَ إِنَّهَا أُخْتِي قَالَ وَدَخَلَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَرْيَةً فِيهَا مَلِكٌ مِنَ الْمُلُوكِ أَوْ جَبَّارٌ مِنَ الْجَبَابِرَةِ فَقِيلَ دَخَلَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ اللَّيْلَةَ بِامْرَأَةٍ مِنْ أَحْسَنِ النَّاسِ قَالَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ الْمَلِكُ أَوِ الْجَبَّارُ مَنْ هَذِهِ مَعَكَ؟ قَالَ أُخْتِي قَالَ أَرْسِلْ بِهَا قَالَ فَأَرْسَلَ بِهَا إِلَيْهِ وَقَالَ لَهَا لَا تُكَذِّبِي قَوْلِي فَإِنِّي قَدْ أَخْبَرْتُهُ أَنَّكِ أُخْتِي إِنْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مُؤْمِنٌ غَيْرِي وَغَيْرُكِ قَالَ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ قَامَ إِلَيْهَا قَالَ فَأَقْبَلَتْ تَوَضَّأُ وَتُصَلِّي وَتَقُولُ اللهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي آمَنْتُ بِكَ وَبِرَسُولِكَ وَأَحْصَنْتُ فَرْجِي إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِي فَلَا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيَّ الْكَافِرَ قَالَ فَغُطَّ حَتَّى رَكَضَ بِرِجْلِهِ قَالَ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ اللهُمَّ إِنَّهُ إِنْ يَمُتْ يُقَلْ هِيَ قَتَلَتْهُ قَالَ فَأُرْسِلَ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَيْهَا فَقَامَتْ تَوَضَّأُ وَتُصَلِّي وَتَقُولُ اللهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي آمَنْتُ بِكَ وَبِرَسُولِكَوَأَحْصَنْتُ فَرْجِي إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِي فَلَا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيَّ الْكَافِرَ قَالَ فَغُطَّ حَتَّى رَكَضَ بِرِجْلِهِ قَالَ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ اللهُمَّ إِنَّهُ إِنْ يَمُتْ يُقَلْ هِيَ قَتَلَتْهُ قَالَ فَأُرْسِلَ فَقَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ مَا أَرْسَلْتُمْ إِلَيَّ إِلَّا شَيْطَانًا ارْجِعُوهَا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَعْطُوهَا هَاجَرَ قَالَ فَرَجَعَتْ فَقَالَتْ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ أَشَعَرْتَ أَنَّ اللهَ تعالى رَدَّ كَيْدَ الْكَافِرِ وَأَخْدَمَ وَلِيدَةً؟  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, from Allah ﷻ, that He said: "I fell ill and the son of Adam did not visit me, and I was thirsty and the son of Adam did not give me water to drink. So, I said, 'Do you fall ill, my Lord?' He said, 'My slaves fall ill from My servants on Earth and they do not visit them. If he had visited him, he would have found Me with him, and if he had given him water to drink, he would have found Me with him.'"  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنِ اللهِ ﷻ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَرِضْتُ فَلَمْ يَعُدْنِي ابْنُ آدَمَ وَظَمِئْتُ فَلَمْ يَسْقِنِي ابْنُ آدَمَ فَقُلْتُ أَتَمْرَضُ يَا رَبِّ؟ قَالَ يَمْرَضُ الْعَبْدُ مِنْ عِبَادِي مِمَّنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَلَا يُعَادُ فَلَوْ عَادَهُ كَانَ مَا يَعُودُهُ لِي وَيَظْمَأُ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَلَا يُسْقَى فَلَوْ سُقِيَ كَانَ مَا سَقَاهُ لِي  

In Paradise, there is a tree under the shadow of which a rider can travel for a hundred years. (Using translation from Muslim 2826a)   

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَشَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ الْجَوَادُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ وَإِنَّ وَرَقَهَا لَيُخَمِّرُ الْجَنَّةَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dies as a soldier and is protected from the trial of the grave and is saved from the greatest terror and is provided with sustenance from Jannah, and is rewarded as a soldier until the Day of Resurrection."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ مَاتَ مُرَابِطًا وُقِيَ فِتْنَةَ الْقَبْرِ وَأُومِنَ مِنَ الْفَزَعِ الْأَكْبَرِ وَغُدِيَ عَلَيْهِ وَرِيحَ بِرِزْقِهِ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَكُتِبَ لَهُ أَجْرُ الْمُرَابِطِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ  

[Machine] I heard Abu Hurairah saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, Allah accepts charity and does not accept anything from it except what is good. He accepts it with His right hand, blessed and exalted is He, and He nurtures it for His Muslim servant like one of you raises his foal or young camel until it becomes suitable to be ridden on the Day of Resurrection, like the day of the size of Uhud."  

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يَقْبَلُ الصَّدَقَةَ وَلَا يَقْبَلُ مِنْهَا إِلَّا الطَّيِّبَ يَقْبَلُهَا بِيَمِينِهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يُرَبِّيهَا لِعَبْدِهِ الْمُسْلِمِ كَمَا يُرَبِّي أَحَدُكُمْ مُهْرَهُ أَوْ فَصِيلَهُ حَتَّى يُوَافَى بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ  

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "A man entered Paradise because of a branch of thorns he removed from the path of Muslims."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ دَخَلَ عَبْدٌ الْجَنَّةَ بِغُصْنِ شَوْكٍ عَلَى طَرِيقِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَأَمَاطَهُ عَنْهُ  

when the prophet (May peace be upon him) went to his bed, he used to say : O Allah! Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, Lord of everything, who splittest the grain and the kernel, who hast sent down the Torah, forelock Thou seizes. Thou art the first and there is nothing before thee; Thou art the Last and there is nothing after Thee; Thou art the Outward and there is nothing above Thee; Thou art the Inward and there is nothing below Thee. Wahb added in his version : pay the debt for me and grant me riches instead of poverty. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5051)   

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَدْعُو عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ اللهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّماوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُنْزِلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ وَالْقُرْآنِ فَالِقَ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ أَنْتَ الْأَوَّلُ لَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيْءٌ وَأَنْتَ الْآخِرُ لَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيْءٌ وَأَنْتَ الظَّاهِرُ لَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيْءٌ وَأَنْتَ الْبَاطِنُ لَيْسَ دُونَكَ شَيْءٌ اقْضِعَنَّا الدَّيْنَ وَأَغْنِنَا مِنَ الْفَقْرِ  

The servant (who conceals) the faults of others in this world, Allah would conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Muslim 2590b)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يَسْتُرُ عَبْدٌ عَبْدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا سَتَرَهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ  

[Machine] He said: "There used to be a time when the family of the Prophet ﷺ would go through periods without having any fire lit in their homes, neither for bread nor for cooking. So they asked Abu Hurairah, 'What did they used to live on?' He said, 'They used to live on black dates and water. And they had neighbors among the Ansar who were given blessings by Allah, and they would send something from milk to them.'"  

قال كَانَ يَمُرُّ بِآلِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ هِلَالٌ ثُمَّ هِلَالٌ لَا يُوقَدُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِهِمُ النَّارُ لَا لِخُبْزٍ وَلَا لِطَبِيخٍ فَقَالُوا بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانُوا يَعِيشُونَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ؟ قَالَ بِالْأَسْوَدَيْنِ التَّمْرِ وَالْمَاءِ وَكَانَ لَهُمْ جِيرَانٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَجَزَاهُمُ اللهُ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ مَنَائِحُ يُرْسِلُونَ إِلَيْهِمْ شَيْئًا مِنْ لَبَنٍ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Exchange gifts, for indeed the gift removes the bitterness in the heart."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَهَادَوْا فَإِنَّ الْهَدِيَّةَ تُذْهِبُ وَغَرَ الصَّدْرِ  

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ: Whoever reaches the age of sixty or seventy has been granted an excuse for their lifespan.  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَنْ عُمِّرَ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً أَوْ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً فَقَدْ عُذِرَ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْعُمُرِ  

[Machine] We were traveling with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when we ran out of water and dispersed. We came across some camels grazing on the leaves of trees, and the people rushed to milk them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them, "Perhaps there is some sustenance for the people of this household among the Muslims. Would you like it if they came and took what's in your provisions?" Then he said, "If you must, then drink and don't carry."  

كُنَّا فِي سَفَرٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَرْمَلْنَا وَأَنْفَضْنَا فَآتَيْنَا عَلَى إِبِلٍ مَصْرُورَةٍ بِلِحَاءِ الشَّجَرِ وَابْتَدَرَهَا الْقَوْمُ لِيَحْتَلِبُوهَا فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ هَذِهِ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ فِيهَا قُوتُ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَتُحِبُّونَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَتَوْا عَلَى مَا فِي أَزْوَادِكُمْ فَأَخَذُوهُ؟ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلِينَ فَاشْرَبُوا وَلَا تَحْمِلُوا  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not leave the two units of the Fajr prayer, even if the horses drive you away."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَدَعُوا رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ وَإِنْ طَرَدَتْكُمُ الْخَيْلُ  

[Machine] From the Prophet, may ﷺ , in what he narrated from his Lord, may He be glorified, he said, "Whoever remembers me in himself, I remember him in myself, and whoever remembers me in a gathering of people, I remember him in a gathering greater and more noble than theirs."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِيمَا يَحْكِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ ﷻ قَالَ مَنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي نَفْسِهِ ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي نَفْسِي وَمَنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي مَلَإٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي مَلَإٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَطْيَبَ  

It is not fitting for a servent to say that I (The Prophet) is better than Jonah son of Matta. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4669)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "If a servant commits a sin and then says, 'O Lord, I have sinned, so forgive me,' his Lord says (to the angels), 'My servant has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for them, so I forgive my servant.' Then he continues committing sins and says, 'O Lord, I have sinned, so forgive me,' and his Lord says (to the angels), 'My servant has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for them, so I forgive my servant.' Then he continues committing sins and says, 'O Lord, I have sinned, so forgive me,' and his Lord says (to the angels), 'My servant has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for them, so I forgive my servant.'"  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ عَبْدًا أَصَابَ ذَنْبًا فَقَالَ أَيْ رَبِّ أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَقَالَ رَبُّهُ ﷻ عَلِمَ عَبْدِي أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ وَيَأْخُذُ بِهِ فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ثُمَّ مَكَثَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ ثُمَّ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْبًا آخَرَ فَقَالَ أَيْ رَبِّ أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا فَاغْفِرْهُ فَقَالَ رَبُّهُ عَلِمَ عَبْدِي أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ وَيَأْخُذُ بِهِ فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ثُمَّ مَكَثَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ ثُمَّ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْبًا آخَرَ فَقَالَ أَيْ رَبِّأَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا فَاغْفِرْهُ فَقَالَ رَبُّهُ عَلِمَ عَبْدِي أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ وَيَأْخُذُ بِهِ قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لِعَبْدِي  

"Zakariyya was a carpenter." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2150)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ زَكَرِيَّا نَجَّارًا  

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not neglect the two units of prayer before dawn, even if you are chased away by horses."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَدَعُوا رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ وَإِنْ طَرَدَتْكُمُ الْخَيْلُ  

[Machine] He informed me that he said, "I heard Abu Huraira saying, 'We had no food during the time of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , except for black dates and water.'"  

أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ مَا كَانَ لَنَا طَعَامٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَّا الْأَسْوَدَانِ التَّمْرُ وَالْمَاءُ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The example of one who listens to wisdom and follows the worst of what he hears is like a man who went to a shepherd and said to him, 'Give me the best sheep from your flock.' The shepherd replied, 'Go and take the best sheep by its ear.' So he went and took the ear of the dog instead of the sheep."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَسْمَعُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَيَتَّبِعُ شَرَّ مَا يَسْمَعُ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ أَتَى رَاعِيًا فَقَالَ لَهُ أَجْزِرْنِي شَاةً مِنْ غَنَمِكَ فَقَالَ اذْهَبْ فَخُذْ بِأُذُنِ خَيْرِهَا شَاةً فَذَهَبَ فَأَخَذَ بِأُذُنِ كَلْبِ الْغَنَمِ  

The worst kind of food is that at a wedding feast to which the rich are invited and from which the poor are left out. If anyone does not attend the feast to which he was invited, he has disobeyed Allah and His Apostle (may peace upon him). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3742)   

شَرُّ الطَّعَامِ طَعَامُ الْوَلِيمَةِ يُدْعَى لَهَا الْأَغْنِيَاءُ وَيُدْفَعُ عَنْهَا الْفُقَرَاءُ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ الدَّعْوَةَ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ  

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no Tiyara, and the best omen is the Fal." They asked, "What is the Fal?" He said, "A good word that one of you hears (and takes as a good omen). (Using translation from Bukhārī 5754)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا طِيَرَةَ وَخَيْرُهَا الْفَأْلُ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا الْفَأْلُ؟ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ يَسْمَعُهَا أَحَدُكُمْ  

“A man with sick camels should not let them graze or drink alongside healthy ones.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3541)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُورَدُ مُمْرِضٌ عَلَى مُصِحٍّ  

[Machine] Abu Huraira said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When food that does not belong to his family is brought to him, he would ask about it. If he was told that it was a gift, he would eat it. And if he was told that it was charity, he would say, 'Eat and do not eat.'"  

قَالَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ سَأَلَ عَنْهُ فَإِنْ قِيلَ هَدِيَّةٌ أَكَلَ وَإِنْ قِيلَ صَدَقَةٌ قَالَ كُلُوا وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ  

[Machine] Abu Hurairah saw a man covering his feet and said, "Perform ablution properly, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Woe to the heels from the Hellfire.'"  

أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَأَى رَجُلًا مُبَقَّعَ الرِّجْلَيْنِ فَقَالَ أَحْسِنُوا الْوُضُوءَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ  

The Messenger of Allah said: "The injuries caused by the well are without liability, [1] and beasts are without liability, and mines are without liability, and the Khumus is due on Rikaz." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2498)   

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ يَقُولُ الدَّابَّةُ الْعَجْمَاءُ جُبَارٌ وَالْبِئْرُ جُبَارٌ وَالْمَعْدِنُ جُبَارٌ وَفِي الرِّكَازِ الْخُمُسُ  

[Machine] I heard Abu Hurairah say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given dates from the charity, so he instructed something regarding it. Then he took either Hasan or Husain on his shoulder and his saliva was drooling onto it. He looked at him and saw him licking a date. He moved his cheek and said, "Throw it, my son, throw it, my son. Haven't you realized that the family of Muhammad does not eat charity?"  

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِتَمْرٍ مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَأَمَرَ فِيهِ بِأَمْرٍ فَحَمَلَ الْحَسَنَ أَوِ الْحُسَيْنَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ فَجَعَلَ لُعَابُهُ يَسِيلُ عَلَيْهِ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ يَلُوكُ تَمْرَةً فَحَرَّكَ خَدَّهُ وَقَالَ أَلْقِهَا يَا بُنَيَّ أَلْقِهَا يَا بُنَيَّ أَمَا شَعَرْتَ أَنَّ آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ لَا يَأْكُلُونَ الصَّدَقَةَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the servant obeys his Lord and his master, he will have two rewards."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَطَاعَ الْعَبْدُ رَبَّهُ وَسَيِّدَهُ فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the servant of any one of you brings him his food, which has sufficed him in his hunger and his work, if he does not make him sit with him to eat, then he should give him a bite of his food."  

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا جَاءَ خَادِمُ أَحَدِكُمْ بِطَعَامِهِ قَدْ كَفَاهُ حَرَّهُ وَعَمَلَهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُقْعِدْهُ مَعَهُ لِيَأْكُلَ فَلْيُنَاوِلْهُ أُكْلَةً مِنْ طَعَامِهِ
