ahmad:9170Muʿāwiyah b. ʿAmr > Zāʾidah > Sulaymān al-Aʿmash > Abū Ṣāliḥ > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "When Satan hears the caller announcing the prayer, he turns away and experiences a severe pain until he no longer hears the sound. Then, when the caller finishes, he returns and whispers. And when he joins the congregational prayer, he does the same."  

أحمد:٩١٧٠حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الشَّيْطَانُ الْمُنَادِيَ يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ وَلَّى وَلَهُ ضُرَاطٌ حَتَّى لَا يَسْمَعَ الصَّوْتَ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ رَجَعَ فَوَسْوَسَ فَإِذَا أَخَذَ فِي الْإِقَامَةِ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said, "You will find on the Day of Judgment among the worst of people those who bring the words of these people as a narration and those who bring the words of those people as a narration."  

أحمد:٩١٧١حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ تَجِدُ مِنْ شِرَارِ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِي يَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِحَدِيثِ هَؤُلَاءِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ بِحَدِيثِ هَؤُلَاءِ  

ahmad:9172Muʿāwiyah > Zāʾidah > ʿAbdullāh b. Dhakwān > ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Aʿraj > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: The Hour will not be established until the sun rises from its place of setting and all people believe on that day. On that day, the faith of a person will not benefit them if they did not believe before, or if their faith did not earn them goodness. The Hour will not be established until you fight the Jews, and the Jew will hide behind a stone, and the stone will say: "O servant of Allah, O Muslim, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him." The Hour will not be established until you fight against a people whose shoes are made of hair.  

أحمد:٩١٧٢حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا فَيُؤْمِنَ النَّاسُ أَجْمَعُونَ فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا وَلَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تُقَاتِلُوا الْيَهُودَ فَيَفِرَّ الْيَهُودِيُّ وَرَاءَ الْحَجَرِ فَيَقُولَ الْحَجَرُ يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ يَا مُسْلِمُ هَذَا يَهُودِيٌّ وَرَائِي وَلَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تُقَاتِلُوا قَوْمًا نِعَالُهُمُ الشَّعَرُ

if a man becomes the client of any people without the permission of his patrons (i.e. those who have freed him), on him will be the curse of Allah, of angels and of all people; no obligatory or supererogatory worship will be accepted from him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5114)  

أحمد:٩١٧٣حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَنْ تَوَلَّى قَوْمًا بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ مَوَالِيهِ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَدْلٌ وَلَا صَرْفٌ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever goes out in the cause of Allah, relying on Allah's protection, no one will be able to remove him except for Jihad in the cause of Allah. And confirming the words of Allah, until he is entitled to Paradise or returns him to his home or from where he came out."  

أحمد:٩١٧٤حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ تَوَكَّلَ اللهُ بِحِفْظِ امْرِئٍخَرَجَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ لَا يُخْرِجُهُ إِلَّا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَتَصْدِيقٌ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ حَتَّى يُوجِبَ لَهُ الْجَنَّةَ أَوْ يُرْجِعَهُ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ أَوْ مِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجَ

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Whoever speaks for the sake of Allah, and Allah knows better about who speaks for His sake, his wound on the Day of Judgment will appear as it was on the day it was inflicted. Its color will be the color of blood and its smell will be the smell of musk."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ كُلِمَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ كُلِمَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ يَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ جُرْحُهُ كَهَيْئَتِهِ يَوْمَ جُرِحَ لَوْنُهُ لَوْنُ دَمٍ وَرِيحُهُ رِيحُ مِسْكٍ

"Adam and Musa argued, Musa said: "O Adam! You are the one that Allah created with His Hand, and blew into you of His Spirit, and you misled the people and caused them to be expelled from Paradise.' So Adam said: 'You are Musa, the one Allah selected with His Speech! Are you blaming me for something I did which Allah had decreed for me, before creating the heavens and the earth?'" He said: " So Adam confuted Musa." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2134)  

أحمد:٩١٧٦حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ احْتَجَّ آدَمُ وَمُوسَى قَالَ فَقَالَ مُوسَى يَا آدَمُ أَنْتَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ اللهُ بِيَدِهِ وَنَفَخَ فِيكَ مِنْ رُوحِهِ أَغْوَيْتَ النَّاسَ وَأَخْرَجْتَهُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ فَقَالَ آدَمُ أَنْتَ مُوسَى الَّذِي اصْطَفَاكَ اللهُ بِكَلَامِهِ تَلُومُنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ أَعْمَلُهُ كَتَبَهُ اللهُ عَلَيَّ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ قَالَ فَحَجَّ آدَمُ مُوسَى  

ahmad:9177Muʿāwiyah > Zāʾidah > ʿAbdullāh b. Dhakwān Yukná Abū al-Zinād > ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Aʿrajiʿan Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Sons of Abd al-Muttalib! O Sons of Hashim! Buy yourselves from Allah, for I have no power over you from Allah, O Umm Zubeir, the Prophet's aunt! O Fatima, daughter of Muhammad! Buy yourselves from Allah, for I have no power over you from Allah. Ask me from my wealth whatever you wish."  

أحمد:٩١٧٧حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ يُكْنَى أَبَا الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ ﷻ لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا يَا أُمَّ الزُّبَيْرِ عَمَّةَ النَّبِيِّ يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا سَلَانِي مِنْ مَالِي مَا شِئْتُمَا

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "I do not like that one of you turns into gold, which will be with me after three days, except a little that I leave behind as a debt. Indeed, most of the people who have much wealth in this world will have little on the Day of Judgment, except for those who say, 'This much and that much and this much and that much.' They are few in number, but they will be on his right, left, in front of him, and behind him."  

أحمد:٩١٧٨حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدًا ذَاكُمْ يُحَوَّلُ ذَهَبًا يَكُونُ عِنْدِي بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا شَيْئًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ إِنَّ الْأَكْثَرِينَ هُمُ الْأَقَلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَقَلِيلٌ مَا هُمْ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَوَرَاءَهُ

The Prophet ﷺ said: ʿWere it not that it would be too difficult for the ummah, I would have commanded them to use the siwak at the time of every prayer.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 607)   

أحمد:٩١٧٩حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَوْ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ

[Machine] Narrated to us Muhammad ibn Amr who mentioned the same with its chain of transmission.  

أحمد:٩١٨٠حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ هُوَ ابْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade a man to pray in a shortened manner.  

أحمد:٩١٨١حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرَّجُلُ مُخْتَصِرًا

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle ﷺ as saying When any one of you gets up at night, he should begin the prayer with two short rak'ahs. (Using translation from Muslim 768)  

أحمد:٩١٨٢حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلْيَفْتَتِحْ صَلَاتَهُ بِرَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ

[Machine] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, he said: Whoever catches a prostration (in prayer) before sunrise has indeed caught the prayer, and whoever catches a prostration before sunset has indeed caught the prayer."  

أحمد:٩١٨٣حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ سَجْدَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ سَجْدَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If one of you enters upon his Muslim brother, let him feed him with food, and he should eat from his food without asking him about it. And if he gives him a drink from his drink, let him drink from it without asking him about it."  

أحمد:٩١٨٤حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَخَالِدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ فَأَطْعَمَهُ طَعَامًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ وَلَا يَسْأَلْهُ عَنْهُ وَإِنْ سَقَاهُ شَرَابًا مِنْ شَرَابِهِ فَلْيَشْرَبْ مِنْ شَرَابِهِ وَلَا يَسْأَلْهُ عَنْهُ

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was visited or passed by a funeral, he would ask them: "Did he leave any debt?" If they said, "Yes," he would say, "Did he leave any means to repay it?" If they said, "Yes," he would pray for him. And if they said, "No," he would say, "Pray for your companion."  

أحمد:٩١٨٥حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أُتِيَ أَوْ مُرَّ عَلَيْهِ بِجِنَازَةٍ سَأَلَهُمْ هَلْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا؟ فَإِنْ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ هَلْ تَرَكَ وَفَاءً؟ فَإِنْ قَالُوا نَعَمْ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَإِنْ قَالُوا لَا قَالَ صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ

No two such persons shall be together in Hell as if one of them is such that his presence hurts the other. It was asked: Messenger of Allah, who are they? He said: A believer who killed a disbeliever and (then) kept to the right path." (Using translation from Muslim 1891b)   

أحمد:٩١٨٦حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَجْتَمِعَانِ فِي النَّارِ أَبَدًا اجْتِمَاعًا يَضُرُّ أَحَدَهُمَا قَالُوا مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ مُؤْمِنٌ يَقْتُلُهُ كَافِرٌ ثُمَّ يُسَدَّدُ بَعْدُ

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has guaranteed to the one who goes out in His cause, 'and he does not go out for any other purpose except Jihad in My cause and faith in Me, believing in My Messengers, but he is guaranteed that I will admit him to Paradise or I will send him back to his dwelling from which he set out, having acquired whatever he acquired of reward or spoils of war.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5030)   

أحمد:٩١٨٧حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَضَمَّنَ اللهُ لِمَنْ خَرَجَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ لَا يُخْرِجُهُ إِلَّا إِيمَانًا بِي وَتَصْدِيقًا بِرُسُلِي أَنْأُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ أَوْ أُرْجِعَهُ إِلَى مَسْكَنِهِ الَّذِي خَرَجَ مِنْهُ نَائِلًا مَا نَالَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ

“There is no one who is wounded in the cause of Allah – and Allah knows best of who is wounded in His cause – but he will come on the Day of Resurrection with his wounds looking as they did on the day he was wounded; their color will be the color of blood but their smell will be the fragrance of musk.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2795)   

أحمد:٩١٨٨حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُجْرَحُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ يُجْرَحُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ إِلَّا لَقِيَ اللهَ كَهَيْئَتِهِ يَوْمَ جُرِحَ لَوْنُهُ لَوْنُ دَمٍ وَرِيحُهُ رِيحُ مِسْكٍ

This tradition has also been narrated on the authority of ‘A’ishah through a different chain. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 99)   

أحمد:٩١٨٩حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ  

ahmad:9190Yaḥyá b. Isḥāq > Abū Bakr / Ibn ʿAyyāsh > Abū Ḥaṣīn > Abū Ṣāliḥ > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] The Quran was presented to the Prophet ﷺ once every year. However, in the year before he passed away, it was presented to him twice.  

أحمد:٩١٩٠حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَصِينٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

كَانَ يُعْرَضُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْقُرْآنَ فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ مَرَّةً فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ  

ahmad:9191Yaḥyá b. Isḥāq > Abū Bakr b. ʿAyyāsh > ʾAbī Ḥaṣīn > Abū Ṣāliḥ > Abū Hurayrah

“When anyone of you is fasting, let him not utter evil or ignorant speech. If anyone speaks to him in an ignorant manner, let him say: ‘I am fasting.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1691)  

أحمد:٩١٩١حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْأَبِي حَصِينٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ فَإِنْ جُهِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ صَائِمٌ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Find tranquility in prayer, for indeed, its coolness repels the heat of Hellfire."  

أحمد:٩١٩٢حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ فَإِنَّ فَيْحَهَا مِنْ حَرِّ جَهَنَّمَ  

ahmad:9193ʿAbd al-Ṣamad b. Ḥassān > Sufyān > al-Aʿmash > Dhakwān > Abū Hurayrah

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "None is wounded in Allah's cause - and Allah knows better about who has been injured in His cause - except that he will come on the Day of Resurrection with his wound the color of blood but its scent will be the scent of musk." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1656)   

أحمد:٩١٩٣حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ حَسَّانَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُكْلَمُ عَبْدٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ يُكْلَمُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ يَجِيءُ جُرْحُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَوْنُهُ لَوْنُ دَمٍ وَرِيحُهُ رِيحُ مِسْكٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it were not for the fact that it would be difficult for my Ummah (community), I would have commanded them to use Siwak (toothstick) with every Wudu (ablution)." Abu Hurairah also said, "I used to make Istinja (cleaning the private parts with water) before sleeping, after waking up, before eating, and after eating, when I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say what he said."  

أحمد:٩١٩٤حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ قَالَهُ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ مَعَ الْوُضُوءِ وقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أَسْتَنُّ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنَامَ وَبَعْدَ مَا أَسْتَيْقِظُ وَقَبْلَ مَا آكُلُ وَبَعْدَ مَا آكُلُ حِينَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا قَالَ  

ahmad:9195Abū al-ʿAlāʾ > Layth > Khālid b. Yazīd > Saʿīd b. Abū Hilāl > Nuʿaym al-Mujmir

[Machine] He said, "I performed the prayer with Abu Hurairah on the back of the mosque, and he was wearing trousers under his shirt. So, he removed his trousers, then performed ablution, washed his face and hands, and then he raised his ablution water to his shoulders and his feet, and he raised it to his shins. Then he said, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Indeed, my Ummah will come on the Day of Resurrection with radiance on their faces and limbs from the traces of ablution. So whoever among you can increase his radiance, let him do so."  

أحمد:٩١٩٥حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ نُعَيْمٍ الْمُجْمِرِ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَقِيتُ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَعَلَيْهِ سَرَاوِيلُ مِنْ تَحْتِ قَمِيصِهِ فَنَزَعَ سَرَاوِيلَهُ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ وَرَفَعَ فِي عَضُدَيْهِ الْوُضُوءَ وَرِجْلَيْهِ فَرَفَعَ فِي سَاقَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنِّيسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَأْتُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ غُرًّا مُحَجَّلِينَ مِنْ آثَارِ الْوُضُوءِ فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُطِيلَ غُرَّتَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not eagerly desire to meet the enemy, for you do not know what may happen in that."  

أحمد:٩١٩٦حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّازِيُّ خَتَنُ سَلَمَةَ الْأَبْرَشِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُوسَى بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَمَنَّوْا لِقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ فَإِنَّكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ مَا يَكُونُ فِي ذَلِكَ  

ahmad:9197Hārūn > ʿAbdullāh b. Wahb > Abū Ṣakhr Ḥumayd b. Ziyād > ʿUmar b. Isḥāq a freed slave of Zāʾidah from his father > Abū Hurayrah

Verily the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The five (daily) prayers and from one Friday prayer to the (next) Friday prayer, and from Ramadhan to Ramadhan are expiations for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals) provided one shuns the major sins. (Using translation from Muslim 233c)  

أحمد:٩١٩٧حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو صَخْرٍ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ مَوْلَى زَائِدَةَ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ الصَّلَوَاتُ الْخَمْسُ وَالْجُمُعَةُ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ وَرَمَضَانُ إِلَى رَمَضَانَ مُكَفِّرَاتٌ مَا بَيْنَهُنَّ مَا اجْتُنِبَتِ الْكَبَائِرُ

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'The believer is affectionate and there is no goodness in one who is not affectionate, nor is he loved.'"  

أحمد:٩١٩٨حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ هَارُونَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو صَخْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَأْلَفٌ وَلَا خَيْرَ فِيمَنْ لَا يَأْلَفُ وَلَا يُؤْلَفُ  

ahmad:9199Mūsá b. Dāwud > Quriʾ > Mālik > Suhayl from his father > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said that the gates of Paradise are opened on Mondays and Thursdays, and forgiveness is granted to every servant who does not associate anything with Allah, except for a man who has animosity between him and his brother. It is said, 'Leave them until they reconcile twice.'"  

أحمد:٩١٩٩حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ سُهَيْلٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أَبْوَابَ الْجَنَّةِ تُفْتَحُ يَوْمَالِاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ فَيُغْفَرُ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا إِلَّا رَجُلٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَخِيهِ شَحْنَاءُ فَيُقَالُ أَنْظِرُوهُمَا حَتَّى يَصْطَلِحَا مَرَّتَيْنِ  

ahmad:9200Yaḥyá b. Ghaylān > al-Mufaḍḍal > ʿUbaydullāh b. Zaḥr > Abū Hurayrah

“Allah enjoined the prayer upon the tongue of your Prophet ﷺ: Four Rak’ah while a resident and two Rak’ah when traveling.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1068)   

أحمد:٩٢٠٠حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زَحْرٍ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ فَرَضَ لَكُمْ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّكُمْ الصَّلَاةَ فِي الْحَضَرِ أَرْبَعًا وَفِي السَّفَرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ  

ahmad:9201Sulaymān b. Dāwud > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū al-Zinād > Ṣāliḥ b. Abū Ṣāliḥ a freed slave of al-Tawʾamah > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah will glorify Himself on the Day of Resurrection over a group of people who have never done any good deeds. He will bring them out of the Fire after they have been burnt, and will enter them into Paradise through His mercy after the intercession of those who intercede."  

أحمد:٩٢٠١حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْأَمَةِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيَتَمَجَّدَنَّ اللهُيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى أُنَاسٍ مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ قَطُّ فَيُخْرِجُهُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ بَعْدَمَا احْتَرَقُوا فَيُدْخِلُهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِهِ بَعْدَ شَفَاعَةِ مَنْ يَشْفَعُ  

ahmad:9202Ibrāhīm b. Isḥāq al-Ṭālqānī > Ibn al-Mubārak > Yūnus > al-Zuhrī > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib > Abū Hurayrah

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying "From among my followers, a group (o 70,000) will enter Paradise without being asked for their accounts, Their faces will be shining like the moon." 'Ukasha bin Muhsin Al-Asadi got up, lifting his covering sheet and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ Invoke Allah for me that He may include me with them." The Prophet ﷺ said! "O Allah! Make him from them." Then another man from Al-Ansar got up and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Invoke Allah for me that He may include me with them." On that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "'Ukasha has anticipated you." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5811)  

أحمد:٩٢٠٢حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الطَّالْقَانِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي زُمْرَةٌ هُمْ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا تُضِيءُ وُجُوهُهُمْ إِضَاءَةَ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ يَرْفَعُ نَمِرَةً عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ سَبَقَكَ عُكَّاشَةُ  

ahmad:9203Ibrāhīm b. Isḥāq > Ibn Mubārak > Yūnus And ʿAlī b. Isḥāq > ʿAbdullāh > Yūnus > al-Zuhrī > Qabīṣah b. Dhuʾayb > Abū Hurayrah

Abu Hurairah said “The Apostle of Allah ﷺ forbade that a woman and her maternal aunt and a woman and her paternal aunt are joined in marriage (to the same man).” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2066)  

أحمد:٩٢٠٣حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ ذُؤَيْبٍ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا  

ahmad:9204Ibrāhīm b. Isḥāq > Ibn al-Mubārak > Yūnus > al-Zuhrī > Ibn Abū Anas from his father > Abū Hurayrah

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'When Ramadan comes, the gates of mercy are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained up."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2100)  

أحمد:٩٢٠٤حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي أَنَسٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ رَمَضَانُ فُتِّحَتْ أَبْوَابُ الرَّحْمَةِ وَغُلِّقَتْ أَبْوَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَسُلْسِلَتِ الشَّيَاطِينُ  

ahmad:9205ʿAlī b. Isḥāq > ʿAbdullāh And ʿAttāb > ʿAbdullāh > Shuʿbah > Fulān al-Khathʿamī > Abū Zurʿah > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] It was narrated that when the Prophet ﷺ used to embark on a journey, he would ride his riding animal and say, "O Allah, You are the Companion during the journey and the Guardian of the family. And he once said, "And I see that he means, he said, "And the one carrying on the back, O Allah, accompany us with righteousness and turn our hearts towards obedience. We seek refuge in You from the difficulties of the journey and the hardships of returning."  

أحمد:٩٢٠٥حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ وَعَتَّابٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ فُلَانٍ الْخَثْعَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ سَفَرًا فَرَكِبَ رَاحِلَتَهُ قَالَ اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ قَالَ وَأُرَاهُ يَعْنِي قَالَ وَالْحَامِلُ عَلَى الظَّهْرِ اللهُمَّ اصْحَبْنَا بِنُصْحٍ وَاقْلِبْنَا بِذِمَّةٍ نعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ وَكَآبَةِالْمُنْقَلَبِ  

ahmad:9206ʿAlī b. Isḥāq > ʿAbdullāh > al-Ajlaḥ > Abū Burdah b. Abū Mūsá al-Ashʿarī > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "On Friday, there is an hour during which Allah does not reject the supplication of a believing servant for anything he asks for."  

أحمد:٩٢٠٦حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَجْلَحُ أَنَّ أَبَا بُرْدَةَ بْنَ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ فِيالْجُمُعَةِ لَسَاعَةً مَا دَعَا اللهَ فِيهَا عَبْدٌ مُؤْمِنٌ بِشَيْءٍ إِلَّا اسْتَجَابَ اللهُ لَهُ  

ahmad:9207ʿAlī b. Isḥāq > ʿAbdullāh > Yūnus > al-Zuhrī > ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Aʿraj > Abū Hurayrah

He heard Abu Hurairah say: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The best day on which the sun rises is Friday. On this day, Adam, peace be upon him, was created, on this day he was admitted to Paradise, and on this day he was taken out of it.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1373)  

أحمد:٩٢٠٧حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ فِيهِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ فِيهِ خُلِقَ آدَمُ وَفِيهِ أُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَفِيهِ أُخْرِجَ مِنْهَا

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever attends a funeral until the prayer is offered will have one Qirat and whoever attends until (the body) is buried will have two Qirats."' It was said: "What are the two Qirats, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Like two great mountains." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1995)   

أحمد:٩٢٠٨حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ وَعَتَّابٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ شَهِدَ الْجِنَازَةَ حَتَّى يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ شَهِدَهَا حَتَّى تُدْفَنَ وَقَالَ عَتَّابٌ حَتَّى تُفْرَغَ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ قِيلَ وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ يَا رَسُولَاللهِ؟ قَالَ مِثْلُ الْجَبَلَيْنِ الْعَظِيمَيْنِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Jews and the Christians do not dye (their grey hair), so you shall do the opposite of what they do (i.e. dye your grey hair and beards). (Using translation from Bukhārī 3462)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى لَا يَصْبُغُونَ فَخَالِفُوهُمْ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever performs ablution, let him clean his nose, and whoever uses pebbles to clean himself after defecating, let him use an odd number.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 409)

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Beware of using unsaddled horses, for if they are startled, they will flee, and if they are taken as booty, they will stumble."  

أحمد:٩٢١١حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي لَهِيعَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْوَرْدِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْخَيْلَ الْمُنَفِّلَةَ فَإِنَّهَا إِنْ تَلْقَ تَفِرَّ وَإِنْ تَغْنَمْ تَغْلُلْ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to practice Iʿtikaf in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan. (Using translation from Bukhārī 2025)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ وَالْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاسِطَ فَمَاتَ حِينَ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَعْتَكِفُ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Allah, the Exalted, has placed truth on Umar's tongue and he speaks it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2962)   

أحمد:٩٢١٣حَدَّثَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي الْعُمَرِيَّ عَنْ جَهْمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَهْمِ عَنْ مِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ جَعَلَ الْحَقَّ عَلَى لِسَانِ عُمَرَ وَقَلْبِهِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The area between my house and my Minbar is one of the gardens of Paradise.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 695)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا بَيْنَ مِنْبَرِي وَبَيْتِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَمِنْبَرِي عَلَى حَوْضِي

[Machine] "From the Prophet, ﷺ , he said something similar to that, except that he said, 'My pulpit is upon a piece of the gardens of Paradise.'"

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "People will soon return to Madinah until their weapons become a means of peace."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ النَّاسُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ حَتَّى تَصِيرَ مَسَالِحُهُمْ بِسَلَاحٍ

"My dearest friend advised me (to do) three things: 'To sleep after praying Witr, to fast three days each month, and to pray two rak'ahs of Fajr.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1677)   

أحمد:٩٢١٧حَدَّثَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ زَاذَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي بِثَلَاثٍ الْوَتْرِ قَبْلَ النَّوْمِ وَصِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ وَرَكْعَتَيِ الضُّحَى  

ahmad:9218Yaʿmar b. Bishr > ʿAbdullāh > Yaḥyá b. Ayyūb > Abū Zurʿah > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] A man came to the messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "What do you command me?" He replied, "Be kind to your mother." The man returned and asked the same question. Again, the Prophet ﷺ replied, "Be kind to your mother." The man asked for a third time, and the Prophet ﷺ repeated his response, "Be kind to your mother." Finally, the man asked for a fourth time, and the Prophet ﷺ replied, "Be kind to your father."  

أحمد:٩٢١٨حَدَّثَنَا يَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

أَتَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا تَأْمُرُنِي؟ قَالَ بِرَّ أُمَّكَ ثُمَّ عَادَ فَقَالَ بِرَّ أُمَّكَ ثُمَّ عَادَ فَقَالَ بِرَّ أُمَّكَ ثُمَّ عَادَ الرَّابِعَةَ فَقَالَ بِرَّ أَبَاكَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no believer who is pricked by a thorn in this world and regards it as a punishment, except that it will be a means of reducing his sins on the Day of Resurrection."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ يُشَاكُ بِشَوْكَةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا يَحْتَسِبُهَا إِلَّا قُصَّ بِهَا مِنْ خَطَايَاهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
