[Machine] While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , a cloud passed by and he asked, "Do you know what this is?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "This is 'Adna and Rawayya, clouds that Allah drives to those who do not thank Him among His servants and do not invoke Him. Do you know what is above you?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "It is a blind-covered wave and a secure ceiling. Do you know how much is between you and it?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "A journey of five hundred years." Then he said, "Do you know what is above it?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Another heaven. Do you know how much is between you and it?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "A journey of five hundred years, until he counted seven heavens. Then he said, "Do you know what is above that?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "The Throne. Do you know how much is between it and the seventh heaven?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "A journey of five hundred years." Then he said, "Do you know what is beneath you?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Another earth. Do you know how much is between them?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "A journey of five hundred years, until he counted seven earths. Then he said, "By Allah, if I were to lead one of you to a rope extending from the lowermost earth to the seventh heaven, you would go down." Then he recited, "He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing." [Surah Al-Hadeed, verse 3]

“The stronger believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, although both are good. Strive to seek that which will benefit you and do not feel helpless. If something overwhelms you, then say: Qaddarallah, wa ma sha'a fa’al (It is the decree of Allah and what He wills He does). And beware of (saying) ‘If only,’ for ‘If only’ opens the door to Satan.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4168)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his hands in prayer until I could see the whiteness of his armpits. My father, who was Abu Al-Mu'tamir, said, "I think he only did this during seeking rainfall."

ahmad:8831ʿĀrim > Muʿtamir b. Sulaymān from my father > Nuʿaym b. Abū Hind > Abū Ḥāzim > Abū Hurayrah

Yes. He said: By Lat and ʿUzza. If I were to see him do that, I would trample his neck, or I would smear his face with dust. He came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ as he was engaged in prayer and thought of trampling his neck (and the people say) that he came near him but turned upon his heels and tried to repulse something with his hands. It was said to him: What is the matter with you? He said: There is between me and him a ditch of fire and terror and wings. Thereupon Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) said: If he were to come near me the angels would have torn him to pieces. Then Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed this verse- (the narrator) said: We do not know whether it is the hadith transmitted by Abu Huraira or something conveyed to him from another source: "Nay, man is surely inordinate, because he looks upon himself as self-sufficient. Surely to thy Lord is the return. Hast thou seen him who forbids a servant when he prays? Seest thou if he is on the right way, or enjoins observance of piety? Seest thou if he [Abu Jahl] denies and turns away? Knowest he not that Allah sees? Nay, if he desists not, We will seize him by the forelock-a lying, sinful forelock. Then let him summon his council. We will summon the guards of the Hell. Nay! Obey not thou him" (lcvi, 6-19). (Rather prostrate thyself.) Ubaidullah made this addition: It was after this that (prostration) was enjoined upon and Ibn Abd al-Ala made this addition that by "Nadiyah" he meant his people. (Using translation from Muslim 2797)

Verily. Allah would say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who have mutual love for My Glory's sake? Today I shall shelter them in My shadow when there is no other shadow but the shadow of Mine. (Using translation from Muslim 2566)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until the land of Arabia returns to being pastures and rivers, and until a person can travel between Iraq and Makkah without fearing anything except losing their way, and until conflicts increase." They said, "And what are the conflicts, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Killing."

If anyone extols Allah after every prayer thirty-three times, and praises Allah thirty-three times, and declares His Greatness thirty-three times, ninety-nine times in all, and says to complete a hundred:" There is no god but Allah, having no partner with Him, to Him belongs sovereignty and to Him is praise due, and He is Potent over everything," his sins will be forgiven even If these are as abundant as the foam of the sea. He (the Holy Prophet) said: The poor of my Umma would be he who would come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers and fasts and Zakat but (he would find himself bankrupt on that day as he would have exhausted his funds of virtues) since he hurled abuses upon others, brought calumny against others and unlawfully consumed the wealth of others and shed the blood of others and beat others, and his virtues would be credited to the account of one (who suffered at his hand). The vow does not bring anything near to the son of Adam which Allah has not ordained for him, but (at times) the vow coincides with Destiny, and this is how something is extracted from the miserly person, which that miser was not willing to give. (Using translation from Muslim 1640c)

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah called upon Gabriel and sent him to Paradise, and he said, 'Look at it and what I have prepared for its people.' So he returned to it and said, 'By Your honor, I feared that no one would enter it.' Then he was sent to Hellfire and he said, 'Go and look at it and what I have prepared for its people.' So he returned to him and said, 'By Your honor, no one hears about it except that they stay away from it.' It was obscured by desires. Then he said, 'Go back to it and look at it.' So he returned to it and said, 'By Your honor, I feared that no one would be left not entering it.'"

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ left in the morning one day and went to the women in the mosque. He stood in front of them and said, "O women! I have not seen anyone with deficient intellect and flawed religion like you. Those of you with intelligence should turn towards Allah as I have seen that the majority of the inhabitants of Hellfire are women."

One of the women present was the wife of Abdullah bin Mas'ood. She went to Abdullah bin Mas'ood and informed him of what she had heard from the Prophet ﷺ . She also took some jewelry to him and said, "Do you think I should give this in charity for the sake of Allah and hope that Allah may save me from Hellfire?" Abdullah bin Mas'ood said, "Woe to you! Come, let me give you charity on your behalf and on behalf of my children, for I have found a place of reward for it." However, she insisted on going to the Prophet ﷺ and seeking permission from him.

When she sought permission from the Prophet ﷺ , the people informed him saying, "This is Zainab seeking permission, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." he asked, "Which Zainab is it?" They replied, "The wife of Abdullah bin Mas'ood." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Grant her permission to enter." She entered and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ , I heard something from you when you stood in front of us. I did not see anyone with more deficient intellect and flawed religion than the women. So, what is it that may cause our religion and our intellect to be deficient?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "O women! Your deficiency in religion is due to the fact that you stay at home during your menses, as Allah has ordained for you. This means that you do not pray or fast. This is from the deficiency in your religion. As for your deficiency in intellect, it is because the testimony of two women is equal to the testimony of one man."
