She came to Allah's Apostle ﷺ and said: I am suffering from falling sickness and I become naked; supplicate Allah for me, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Show endurance as you can do and there would be Paradise for you and, if you desire, I supplicate Allah that He may cure you. She said: I am prepared to show endurance (but the unbearable trouble is) that I become naked, so supplicate Allah that He should not let me become naked, so he supplicated for her. He said in his narration, 'So she descended from As-Safa until she reached the valley and raised her dress, then she rushed like a person exerting himself until she passed the valley, then she came to Al-Marwah and stood on it, looking if she could see anyone. But she could not see anyone, so she did that seven times.' Ibn Abbas said, 'The Prophet ﷺ said, 'So that is why people perform Sa'y between them.'"

[Machine] Some of them, when morning came, kept watch over him [the Prophet] securely, desiring to kill him. And some of them said, "Rather, let us drive him out [of the city]." And Allah conveyed to His Prophet [knowledge of] their plan. So Ali, that night, slept on the Prophet's bed, while the Prophet left and hurried to the cave. The polytheists were guarding Ali, assuming he was the Prophet. When they realized their mistake in the morning, they raced towards him. But when they saw Ali, Allah deceived them with his likeness, and they said, "Where is your companion?" He said, "I do not know, so solve the problem for yourselves." When they reached the mountain, it crumbled upon them, and they ascended into it. They passed by the cave, and they saw the spider's web at its entrance. They said, "If someone had entered here, the spider's web would not be on its door. So he must have stayed in it for three nights."

She replied, "Is that so?" Ibn Abbas said, "You were indeed the most beloved wife to the Messenger of Allahﷺ and he only loved what was good. And Allah, the Almighty, revealed your innocence from above the seven heavens, so no mosque on earth is recited in except that your innocence is mentioned both day and night. And your necklace fell in the desert, so the Prophetﷺ and the people were detained there while seeking it. Eventually, the people ran out of water, so Allah, the Almighty, revealed the verse, 'Then purify yourselves with clean sand' [Quran 4:43], granting permission for everyone to benefit from your sake. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Al-hamdu lillahi nahmadhu wa nastaʿinuhu wa naʿudhu billahi min shururi anfusina wa min sayi'ati aʿmalina, man yahdihillahu fala mudilla lahu, wa man yudlil fala hadiya lahu. Wa ashadu an la ilaha illallahu wahduhu la sharika lahu, wa anna Muhammadan ʿabduhu wa rasuluhu. Amma baʿd. (Praise is to Allah, we praise Him and we seek His help. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of our own souls and from our bad deeds, Whomsoever Allah guides will never be led astray; and whomsoever is led astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshiped but Allah, alone with no partner or associate, and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. To proceed).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1893)
