Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Said ihn al-Musayyab that Umar ibn al Khattab and Uthman ibn Affan, may Allah be pleased with them, used to do the same.

مالك:٩-٩٦ – وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ وَعُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ ؓ ا كَانَا يَفْعَلاَنِ ذَلِكَ

malik:49-13 – Mālik > Balaghah

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Umar ibn al-Khattab and Ali ibn Abi Talib and Uthman ibn Affan drank while standing.

مالك:٤٩-١٣ – حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ وَعَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَعُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ كَانُوا يَشْرَبُونَ قِيَامًا

"عَنْ سَعِيد بْنِ المسيب أن عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّاب، وعثمان بن عفان كَانَا يفعلانِ ذلك -يعنى- الاستِلْقاءَ، وَوَضع إِحْدَى الرجلين على الأخرى".

مالك، [هب] البيهقى في شعب الإيمان
