The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed outer garments with full-length sleeves but did not give Makhramah anything. Makhramah said: Go with us to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So I went with him and he said: Enter and call him for me. I then called him. He came out to him and he had an outer garment with full-length sleeves over him from those garments. He said: I kept it for you. He looked at it, meaning Makhramah according to the addition of Ibn Mawhab. The agreed version then says: He said: Makhramah was pleased. Ibn Qutaibah said: From Ibn Abi Mulaikah, but he did not name it.  

أبو داود:٤٠٢٨ – حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ الْمَعْنَى أَنَّ اللَّيْثَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَقْبِيَةً وَلَمْ يُعْطِ مَخْرَمَةَ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ مَخْرَمَةُ يَا بُنَىَّ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَانْطَلَقْتُ مَعَهُ قَالَ ادْخُلْ فَادْعُهُ لِي قَالَ فَدَعَوْتُهُ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِ قِبَاءٌ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ خَبَأْتُ هَذَا لَكَ قَالَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ زَادَ ابْنُ مَوْهَبٍ مَخْرَمَةُ ثُمَّ اتَّفَقَا قَالَ رَضِيَ مَخْرَمَةُ قَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ لَمْ يُسَمِّهِ

When I went with him, he said, "Call him to me." I called him (i.e. the Prophet ﷺ ) for my father. He came out wearing one of those cloaks and said, "We kept this (cloak) for you, (Makhrama)." Makhrama looked at the cloak and said, "Makhrama is pleased," (or the Prophet ﷺ said), "Is Makhrama pleased?"

So I proceeded with him and he said, "Go in and call him 'or me." So I called the Prophet ﷺ for him The Prophet ﷺ came out to him, wearing one of those Qaba's and said, (to Makhrama), "I have kept this for you " Makhrama looked at it and said, "Makhrama is satisfied now."

O my son, come along with me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So I went with him. He said: Enter the house and call him (to come out) for me. So I called him and he (the Holy Prophet) came out, and there was a cloak (from those already distributed) on him. He (the Holy Prophet) said: I had kept it for you. He (Makhrama), looked at it and was pleased.

ahmad:18927 – Hāshim > Layth > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUbaydullāh b. Abū Mulaykah > al-Miswar b. Makhramah

[Machine] Gifted to the Messenger ﷺ were embroidered garments made of gold, so he distributed them to his companions. Makhrama said, "O Miswar, come with us to the Messenger ﷺ, for it has been mentioned to me that he distributed the garments." So we proceeded, and when we arrived, Makhrama said, "Enter and invite him for me." I entered and invited him, and he came out to me wearing a piece of garment. He said, "I have kept this for you, O Makhrama." He looked at it and said, "I am pleased." So he gave it to him.  

أحمد:١٨٩٢٧ – حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ قَالَ

أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَقْبِيَةٌ مُزَرَّرَةٌ بِالذَّهَبِ فَقَسَمَهَا فِي أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ مَخْرَمَةُ يَا مِسْوَرُ اذْهَبْ بِنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ ذُكِرَ لِي أَنَّهُ قَسَمَ أَقْبِيَةً فَانْطَلَقْنَا فَقَالَ ادْخُلْ فَادْعُهُ لِي قَالَ فَدَخَلْتُ فَدَعَوْتُهُ إِلَيْهِ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيَّ وَعَلَيْهِ قَبَاءٌ مِنْهَا قَالَ خَبَأْتُ لَكَ هَذَا يَا مَخْرَمَةُ قَالَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ رَضِيَ فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ
