قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَوْ كُنْتُ مُؤَمِّرًا أَحَدًا مِنْ غَيْرِ مَشُورَةٍ لأَمَّرْتُ ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿIf I were to appoint anyone to a position of authority without consulting the believers, I would have appointed Ibn Umm ʿAbd (Abdullah bin Masʿood).ʿ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْ كُنْتُ مُؤَمِّرًا أَحَدًا دُونَ مَشُورَةِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَأَمَّرْتُ ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿIf I were to appoint anyone to a position of authority without consultation, I would have appointed Ibn Umm ʿAbd (Abdullah bin Masʿood).ʿ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “If I were to appoint anyone to a position of authority without consulting (the believers), I would have appointed Ibn Umm ʿAbd (ʿAbdullah bin Masʿood).ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 739)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَوْ كُنْتُ مُسْتَخْلِفًا أَحَدًا مِنْ غَيْرِ مَشُورَةٍ لَاسْتَخْلَفْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ»
"لَوْ كُنْتُ مُؤَمِّرًا عَلَى أُمَّتِي أحَدًا مِنْ غَيرِ مَشُورَةٍ مِنْهُمْ، لأَمَّرْتُ عَلَيهِم ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ".
