"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arranged for the Mudammar among horses to race from Al-Hafiya' to Thaniyyah Al-Wada', between which was a distance of six miles. And for whatever horse was not among the Mudammar, they raced from Thaniya Al-Wada' to the Masjid of Banu Zuraiq, between which was a distance of a mile. I was among those who raced, and my horse jumped along with me over a wall."  

[Abu 'Eisa said:] There are narrations on this topic from Abu Hurairah, Jabir, Anas, and 'Aishah. This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib as a narration of Ath-Thawri.
الترمذي:١٦٩٩حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَزِيرٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الأَزْرَقُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَجْرَى الْمُضَمَّرَ مِنَ الْخَيْلِ مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَبَيْنَهُمَا سِتَّةُ أَمْيَالٍ وَمَا لَمْ يُضَمَّرْ مِنَ الْخَيْلِ مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ وَبَيْنَهُمَا مِيلٌ وَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ أَجْرَى فَوَثَبَ بِي فَرَسِي جِدَارًا  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَجَابِرٍ وَعَائِشَةَ وَأَنَسٍ وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الثَّوْرِيِّ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ rode ahead among the horses, sending what was hidden from them from Hafya or Hairya to Thaniyyat al-Wada' and sending what was not hidden from it from Thaniyyat al-Wada' to the mosque of Bani Zuraik. Abdullah said: "I was riding a horse that day, and I outpaced the people. The horse took me to the mosque of Bani Zuraik."  

أحمد:٤٤٨٧حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

سَبَّقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ فَأَرْسَلَ مَا ضُمِّرَ مِنْهَا مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ أَوِ الحَيْفَاءِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَأَرْسَلَ مَا لَمْ يُضَمَّرْ مِنْهَا مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ فَكُنْتُ فَارِسًا يَوْمَئِذٍ فَسَبَقْتُ النَّاسَ طَفَّفَ بِيَ الْفَرَسُمَسْجِدَ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ rode the hidden horses from Al-Hafya to Thaniyah Al-Wada' and then he rode the unharnessed horses from Thaniyah to the Mosque of Bani Zuraiq.  

البيهقي:١٩٧٦٥أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا قَبِيصَةُ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ

أَجْرَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَا ضُمِّرَ مِنَ الْخَيْلِ مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَأَجْرَى مَا لَمْ يُضَمَّرْ مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ
