[Machine] "I said to Umar ibn Abdul Aziz, Ibn Mas'ud used to say, 'Indeed, these matters will be ambiguous, so whoever is pleased with them, despite being absent from them, is like the one who witnessed them. And whoever dislikes them, despite having witnessed them, is like the one who was absent from them. This is truly astonishing.'"  

الطبراني:٨٨٨٨حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءَ أَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ عَوْنٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ إِنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ كَانَ يَقُولُ «إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ أُمُورٌ مُشْتَبِهَةٌ فَمَنْ رَضِيَهَا مِمَّنَ غَابَ عَنْهَا فَهُوَ كَمَنْ شَهِدَهَا وَمَنْ كَرِهَهَا مِمَّنْ شَهِدَهَا فَهُوَ كَمَنْ غَابَ عَنْهَا فَأَعْجَبَهُ»
