[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid us from something that was beneficial for us. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me and asked, "What do you do with your crops?" I replied, "We divide them into quarters and eighths." He said, "Do not do that, instead, sow them or hold them." I said, "I hear and obey."  

الطبراني:٨٢٦٦ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي النَّجَاشِيِّ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ ظَهِيرِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ قَالَ

نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ أَمْرٍ كَانَ لَنَا نَافِعًا دَعَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ بِمَحَاقِلِكُمْ؟ قُلْتُ نُكْرِيهَا عَلَى الرُّبُعِ وَالثُّمُنِ فَقَالَ «لَا تَفْعَلُوا أَوِ ازْرَعُوهَا أَوْ أَمْسِكُوهَا» قُلْتُ سَمْعًا وَطَاعَةً

My uncle Zuhair said, "Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us to do a thing which was a source of help to us." I said, "Whatever Messenger of Allah ﷺ said was right." He said, "Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for me and asked, 'What are you doing with your farms?' I replied, 'We give our farms on rent on the basis that we get the yield produced at the banks of the water streams (rivers) for the rent, or rent it for some Wasqs of barley and dates.' Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do not do so, but cultivate (the land) yourselves or let it be cultivated by others gratis, or keep it uncultivated.' I said, 'We hear and obey.'

ذِكْرُ خَبَرٍ ثَالِثٍ يُصَرِّحُ بِأَنَّ قَوْلَهُ ﷺ «أَوْ لِيُزْرِعْهَا»، أَرَادَ بِهِ الزَّجْرَ عَنِ الْمُخَابَرَةِ الَّتِي تَكُونُ بِشَرَائِطَ مَجْهُولَةٍ فَنُدِبَ إِلَى الْمَنِيحَةِ مِنْ أَجْلِهَا

لَهُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَانَا عَنْ أَمْرٍ كَانَ لَنَا نَافِعًا قَالَ رَافِعٌ فَقُلْتُ مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَهُوَ الْحَقُّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَرَأَيْتَ مَحَاقِلَتِكُمْ مَاذَا تَصْنَعُونَ بِهَا؟» قُلْنَا نُؤْجِرُهَا عَلَى الرُّبُعِ وَعَلَى الْأَوْسُقِ مِنَ التَّمْرِ وَالشَّعِيرِ قَالَ «فَلَا تَفْعَلُوا ازْرَعُوهَا أَوْ أَزْرِعُوهَا أَوْ أَمْسِكُوهَا»
