"We went out as a delegation and when we arrived with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ he accepted our oath of allegiance and we prayed with him. When he had finished the prayer, a man who looked like a Bedouin came to him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about a man who touched his penis during the Salah?' He said: 'It is just a part of you,' or 'a piece of you.'"

خَرَجْنَا وَفْدًا حَتَّى قَدِمْنَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَبَايَعْنَاهُ وَصَلَّيْنَا مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلاَةَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ كَأَنَّهُ بَدَوِيٌّ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا تَرَى فِي رَجُلٍ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فِي الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ وَهَلْ هُوَ إِلاَّ مُضْغَةٌ مِنْكَ أَوْ بَضْعَةٌ مِنْكَ

We came upon the Prophet of Allah ﷺ. A man came to him: he seemed to be a bedouin. He said: Prophet of Allah, what do you think about a man who touches his penis after performing ablution? He ﷺ replied: That is only a part of his body. Abu Dawud said: The tradition has been transmitted through a different chain of narrators.

قَدِمْنَا عَلَى نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ كَأَنَّهُ بَدَوِيٌّ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَا تَرَى فِي مَسِّ الرَّجُلِ ذَكَرَهُ بَعْدَ مَا يَتَوَضَّأُ فَقَالَ هَلْ هُوَ إِلاَّ مُضْغَةٌ مِنْهُ أَوْ قَالَ بَضْعَةٌ مِنْهُ

[Machine] We went as a delegation to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, then a man came and said, "O Prophet of Allah, what do you say about the remnants of a person after they have performed ablution?" He said, "Are they anything other than a morsel or a piece of it?"

خَرَجْنَا وَفْدًا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَا تَقُولُ فِي مَسِّ الرَّجُلِ ذَكَرَهُ بَعْدَمَا يَتَوَضَّأُ؟ فَقَالَ «هَلْ هُوَ إِلَّا مُضْغَةٌ أَوْ بَضْعَةٌ مِنْهُ»
